Call of Cthulhu and PC Spellcasters

Most of CoC spells involve sanity loss or Pow loss. So beyond Elder Sign, a couple of Dust spells (I don't remember the names - Ibn-Ghazi's and Suleiman's? - , but one of them can harm Mythos creatures and the other one allows to see invisible beings)... maybe an enchanted weapon to fight minor...

    WFRP 1e/2e best modules?

Yes, Death on the Reik is part of The Enemy Within campaign (the best one, IMO). The prelude with Mistaken Identity is a great starting point for the campaign, and Shadows over Bogenhafen resembles Cthulhu adventures a lot without the unbeatable monster at the end (the worst part of Chaosium...

But Are You Experienced - An Academic Survey on XP

The RPG system is too important. For example Call of Cthulhu relies in just checking the skills you have used.

When role play game become a story telling

I guess you need flexibility. The pirate lady discovers her lost husband was kidnapped by other pirates, so she can plunder (as a pirate) ships to get the money for the ransom, or she can muster a pirate force to attack them. The dwarf discovers that a bunch of paladins and clerics ousted the...

Is D&D Entering a New Golden Age?

Dragons of Autumn Twilight Dragons of Winter Night Dragons of Spring Dawning A perfect trilogy.

    D&D 5E Your top 5 feats

It depends on your character. If you are a martial caster spell user Warcaster helps a lot.

D&D 5E Why FR Is "Hated"

Short answer: Mary Sue characters are hateful. The Realms are full of those pests. I have not read every novel (in fact I liked Azure Bonds veru much), but Ed Greenwood's Magic Fire is by far the worst fantasy novel I've ever read.

TPK: Should I let it happen? Am I being fair?

And of course the summoning is unavoidable, e.g. you cannot kill the main summoner to prevent the demon from coming into this plane. If your players see you watching this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nrhnt1h_lMI just before that battle maybe they understand what is about to happen.

D&D 5E Tank or heals focus

Check your favorite spells. If you are the only front-liner, you will need Warcaster for rolling concentration with advantage.

    D&D 5E Cthulhu'ing up D&D

One of warlock's otherworldy patron is the Great Old One. I looks pretty Lovecraftian.

How crucial is to have a map?

it also depends on the rpg. For example if the game mechanics relies on tactics (as D&D 3.5) the map is a must.

    Why does fantasy dominate RPGs?

Sci-fi ranges from dystopian Cyberpunk to soap opera like Star Wars: it includes a lot of minor sub-genres. Medieval fantasy is far more limited (the key word is medieval, because urban fantasy grows plentiful). I also agree with the origin and budget poinjts.

D&D 5E Give me some advices on creating a 5e PC

Maybe being the first time you play D&D you could make a character without magic, as it would be easier. If youi like the concept of Eldritch Knight, go ahead. Be careful with Dancing Lights cantrip, as it require Concentration, and Protection from Evil/Good too. Perhaps Light would be a...

Pathfinder 1E What Made You Switch To Pathfinder?

We switched from AD&D to 3.5 (our DM told 3.0 seemed too bugged), from 3.5 to Pathfinder (as a D&D 3.75), from Pathfinder to D&D 5, and after checking it, from D&D 5 back to Pathfinder. For low complexity rpgs we chose Savage Worlds. Better than the void of D&D 5. By far.

D&D 5E How "optional" are rules like feats and multiclassing?

On our first play the Dm decided not use feats: this increased classes unbalance. Ah, and most of the characters multiclassed. Optional? Yes. Do they make D&D more interesting? Yes.

D&D 5E How to run Death House without killing your entire party

I don't mean lack of humor elements, but the atmosphere of having to check every step. If you have played (or DMed) the Grand Conjuction campaign you know what I mean.

D&D 5E How to run Death House without killing your entire party

Ravenloft is a no-nonsense setting (everyone can remember those vorpal goblins). If your players know how the setting goes, no problem. If they know nothing (or almost nothing "oh, yes, vampires, werewolfs, just tell me CRs") you should warn them. Oh, and tell them about Jeren Surenblade.

The Future of the X-Men "cinematic universe" - what do you think will happen, want to happen?

I prefer X-Men (and Spiderman, whose right Sony is not going to sell - cheap or at all, despite Civil War the next Spidey film will be 100% Sony ) away from Disney tentacles.

D&D 5E The Cinematic Future of DnD 5th edition

Maybe Forgotten Realms is too bland, too generic. But I'd love movies based on the Dragonlance Chronicles trilogy.
