Cashing in on the Dragon Type

Actually I think you may still be missing a trick, though this does depend upon interpretation. If you start with Wizard 5 and Sorceror 1 with PSC(Sorceror) you will be caster level 5 in each. So at 4th level of UM where it says "+1 level in lower-level existing arcane caster class" you get to...

Cashing in on the Dragon Type

I hadn't spotted that feature of UM, Still Practiced Spellcaster(Sorceror) would add 1 CL at 16th and more at intermediary levels (Assuming the normal interpretation). I don't know Dragonwrought too well. Does Dragonwrought have any LA or Racial HD ? The flying feats are better suited to melle...

    Lycan Prestige Class

As a quick fix you could create an item (wand even) for some of the "Bite of the WereXXX" spells from the SC.

Cashing in on the Dragon Type

Why can't he just use Oilymorph ? Not that his type is relevant. I take it you have Cracticed Spell Paster both ways ? Standard Wizard/Sorceror/Metamagic feats would seem to be the best choices, or perhaps some of the Flying Feats from RotW ? Improved Flight is probably the most useful unless...

    Plants, Intelligence, and Mind-Affecting Effects

Just looked at the Woodling template in MM3. It basically just reiterates the Plant Traits block from the MM. So Plants are immune to magic sleep effects, mind effecting spells and abilities, ... Unless, of course, the specific creature entry overrides this: this is true for all plants.

    Strongarm Bracers

You would need to enlarge your hands, which might be an interesting spell to research :)

D&D 3E/3.5 Help me create "Fantasy Sherlock Holmes" in 3.5

I think Bard would sort of work - it depends upon whether you wish to be true to Holmes in character, or just wish to make a good detective. But Urban Ranger/Wizard(Diviner) should work well. In terms of PRCs : Your probably just too low at 10th for Exemplar, but it would be a useful target...

Trying to make a monk, cant figure out feats..

If your going for the Guisarme or Longbow option then you are probably better off taking Monastic Training and then two levels of Fighter. This costs you a feat, but you get two back as well as Martial Wpn Proficiency. There are many other options if you are multiclassing however.

Trying to make a monk, cant figure out feats..

Its a little unusual to se a monk with str so Power atack has to be a consideration. You would only really use this when you have snuck up on some one or you have already stunned them. All the usual Trip Feats are worth a look Combat Expertise for Improved Trip, and then Lightning Reflexes for...

    Sorcerer, spellbook, scribe scroll

In a low magic world you should try to trade the book for some items - much more useful than cash.

    Swift hunter / ...monk?

I voted for the elf too - though that was really a vote against the Monk. The monk build has slightly more versitility but it will be poor in melle. 2-3 levels of Rogue might be better for the skill points, the sneak damage and evasion.

    Swift hunter / ...monk?

I'm confused: your feat selection is for archery and yet you want the option of letting your melle build opponent have a full round of attacks? The small amount of additional damage you might do will be more then offset by the large amount of additional damage you will take, and even then it...

    Multiclassing a bard help

I have played a Bard pretty much all the way through and I always regretted talking two levels of Rogue. OK this did give me Evasion (which you can get on a ring) but little else. The Bard is an arcanist and like all arcanist it benefits strongly from keeping the spellcasting progressing. The...

    Swift hunter / ...monk?

Tumble is a Scout skill: if you end up toe to toe you could just tumble out and have one shot.

    Swift hunter / ...monk?

Unless I'm mistaken: You're Human build suffers from XP penalties between 6th and 7th and from 9th up.

    Need help with a build

A campaign where the playes all start as Aristocrats is an option I've been thinking about for a while :) One rule I considered is that the PCs would only be allowed to take classes that are "Amateurs" in some way. E.g. Mages and Clerics would be out since they are professionals and so any...

    Undead Issues

You could use the Summon Undead spells to obtain more minions for a minute or so. The types you can get are slightly more interesting than Skellies and Zombies. You might also be able to keep some pets. i.e. a collection of undead which you can control when needed. It depends how evil you are (...

The Ways To Describe Conventions Without Metagame Thinking Thread

Not telling the players is good at low levels, but unless you run a low magic game (and why not) the book-keeping becomes onerous even by mid level. Most likeky the "magic" ill have worn off by then. In medium to high magic games: I quite like add a few intelligent items which need not be...

Is there no way to stop a spellthief stealing a spell?

Project Image would help. Its probably too late but using a Sorceror would mean that the NPC would still have plenty of spell slots left. (This is a bit like the ring of Wizadry idea - only with less implications thereafter)

Making untrained checks in trained only skills

For knowledge skills you can make general knowledge checks or, if you are a Bard, Bardic knowledge checks. But these are ways around the problem.
