First Post
The Dragon, already flying with difficulty after Garrick's attacks, suddenly twists in midair, trying to avoid imaginary obstacles and comes crashing down on the ground.

fall damage (2d10=8)

He gets back on his feet, roaring. He's looking for the wizard that tricked him into crashing but he is nowhere to be seen. The fury of the dragon washes over the remaining agents as if it is was physical and it stuns most of them.

The beasts then rakes Dagran with its claws, catching him squarely in the chest.

Hunter's Quarry is over after this last attack.

DD compendium:

Warrior of the Wild [Multiclass Ranger]
Prerequisite: Str 13 or Dex 13
Benefit: You gain training in one skill from the ranger’s class skill list.

Once per encounter, you can use the ranger's Hunter's Quarry class feature. The target you designate as your quarry remains your quarry until the end of your next turn.

EDIT: Used to think it was just one round but this makes it clear that you actually get two shot.

[sblock=Mirage]
ooc: does Mirage have line of sight to the dragon above the crowd?

Well, even if you look above the crowd, that would grant him at least cover. He is large, but on all fours he doesn't tower over the crowd all that much.

Plus, there is the statue and the corner of the pyramid that get in the way. Playing around with a ruler, I'd say you can only draw an unobstructed line to one of the four corners of the area occupied by the dragon.

All in all, Superior cover.

But you are 24 squares away from the dragon anyway. What option do you have that has more than range 20? Even blood pulse can only reach 23 squares away (Hit a square at range 20 than burst 3).

At any rate, when (and if) you reach the door of the inn (AI5), here is what you see.

The main floor is slaughterhouse, dead bodies everywhere. You see devil soldiers scattered around, searching to effects of the deceased. For a moment you could have thought these were tiefling but when they turn to look at you with a sneer, you see they are the real deal. They wear black armour with the unmistakable claw of bane on their chest and shield.

You hear screaming voice coming from the second floor, one in particular that is rather distressing. You are somewhat relieved though to hear vigorous sound of fighting coming from that direction. There seem to be at least one or two guards who aren't ready to go under just yet.

Legion Devil Hellguard Level
Senses Perception +6; darkvision
HP 1; a missed attack never damages a minion.
AC 27; Fortitude 23, Refl ex 22, Will 22; see also squad defense
Resist 10 fi re
Speed 6, teleport 3
mLongsword (standard; at-will) ✦ Weapon
+16 vs. AC; 6 damage.
Squad Defense
The legion devil hellguard gains a +2 bonus to its defenses when
adjacent to at least one other legion devil.

In order to reach that spot (AI5), remember the acrobatic check 18 to move normally and not have to treat the crowd as difficult terrain. Minor action to open the door, that leaves you with a standard. If you fail the check, you can still reach the door in a single move if you spend a healing surge (a desperate adrenaline effort, basically). If you both fail and don't want to spend a surge, you just reach the spot in two move.

If you do decide to keep pushing forward, I'll put the flavor text out of spoiler bracket.

EDIT: orange are the stairs up, green is the bar, black are tables. Double lines in the back are doors to the kitchen.

Garrick can't quite figure it out. His mother and her horrible sisters are all screaming at him to get up but he can't seem to move. It's like the bedding is wrapped around his head. And that roaring sound...?

[SBLOCK=OOC]Yes, I know. It works for the round you use it, and the one afterwards (i.e. the current one), then it's over (like now :)).[/SBLOCK]

Nathan shift nearer to the dragon and try to pull the creature next to him, but the heavy creature refuse to move. But Nathan, still cold blooded toward the dragon, shout at the dragon. His shout, amplified by the magic of the armor, inspire fear into the dragon heart.

Standard: Ligthning Lure: 1d20+16=21, 1d6+8=9 Miss

Minor: Screaming Armor: The dragon have -2 to attack roll until the end of my next turn.[/SBLOCK]
