4e and Grind

Is there any special reason why there are a large assortment of threads that are related to a 4e specific problem allowed in the General Forum?

Looking at General (without reading every thread in detail) I only see one thread that's about grind. If you think something's in the wrong forum, please report it so we can look at it (although we're currently unable to move threads).

It is a coded message to sleeper agents, who are already in place.

Although some of these threads have more general themes that are applicable to other editions, it seems odd to me that others are in General Discussion when they clearly are only applicable to 4e's specific ruleset.

Especially after the half-a-dozen or so "Edition War" thread closings, I guess I am just pissy because the more entertaining and enlightening threads were closed but 4e edition and non-edition war threads like "Why is 4e so grindy?" and "Why isn't WOTC acknowledging grind issue" are in General Discussion.

Anyway, I think what really got in my craw was that most of those threads were on the first page at the same time that bothered me (and prompted me to post), and now that I have gone back to find some of them it doesn't seem nearly as bad. Sorry for being so pissy

I think you're mistaking the 4e Rules forum for a 4e-inclusive forum. It's not. That might change in the future, but 4e Rules is for specifically that. The grind problem definitely is a more general issue to 4e design, and as such belongs in General.

In addition, too many threads on one topic is a problem that usually quickly resolves itself as most of the threads drop out of sight. That wasn't happening with the incredibly annoying edition war nonsense, so we closed them and banned the topic bwah ha ha ha ha!

Ahem. Sorry, got carried away.
