9th Circle Heist Chapter I - From Plague Mort to Smaragd

(just have time for a quick reply before I head out)

Haakon snarling does a full attack hacking twice with his sword then biting and goring the raptors on him, continuing to attack one until it drops then shifting his remaining attacks upon the next one. Six points of power attack.

If the raptor in front of her (#1) is still alive she'll finish it off, if it has already fallen when her action comes up she'll fly to L11+3y(or 4y if it can reach her at 3y) and attack raptor #4 with her glaive from the air out of its reach.

Silvered Fiendbane Glaive +14 melee (1d10+1+9+2d6(against Evil ousiders)+15(when flanking and using Master of Tactics))

ooc: Does she have to take a particular action to use her Marshal Auras, like giving orders, or do they work automatically? If she does have to give the order:

She calls out in a voice smooth as velvet and harder than steel, "Fight them, flank them, finish them!"

ooc: sounds silly I know, but remember her charisma can make anything sound very convincing.

Thorn speeds merrily over the thick branch, taking advantage of her chain's length to avoid counterattack. From this vantage she swings her chain over her head until it's nothing but a black blur, then lashes it viciously at oneof the raptors battling Haakon. It lashes against the beasts scaly hide.

Megaraptor 3 is now down to 31 hp

The raptor that Thorn just hit, suddenly turns from Haakon and lunges back at Thorn, but thorn dodges easily.

Megaraptor 3 took a 5' step and made a full attack but missed on all three attacks.

The megaraptor fighting the hag makes a hungry lunge at BoB, who has just now managed to catch his attention. The quasit nearby smacks his forehead and covers his eyes, but it is too late. The raptor chomps BoB nastily.

BoB takes 11 damage from a bite attack. Not too bad, really.

The last megaraptor is the one fighting Haakon. It has managed to find a steady position on the branch it is standing on, and is now snapping and clawing at the stony gargoyle. One claw manages to rake Haakon, wounding him slightly.

Haakon takes 4 damage. The beasts claws and bite count as magic for the purposes of damage reduction.

BoB not looking the least bit worried, steps backwards to a nicer position. He chirps and waves his stubby arms, launching an orb of pure sound into the beast. The creature howls with pain.

BoB did 18 damage to Megaraptor 1!

Avaniel brings her silvered fiendbane glaive to bear and calls out in a voice smooth as velvet and harder than steel, "Fight them, flank them, finish them!".

She hits, driving the glaive into the creature with demonic ferocity. It is wounded, but not down. Her second attack hits home with a thrust into the creature's chest. When she withdraws the glaive, it staggers and stumbles, bleeding.. and finally lurches off of the jungle branches it was standing on, and out of sight.

Avaniel does 38 damage to Megaraptor 1, reducing it to 9 hp. Her second attack does 36 damage, which killed it. She also sets up an Aura of command. (Which one?!)
Setting up an Aura is a "swift action" so you can do it and still make a full action- the limitation is you can only make one swift action per round.

Klassandra the lich maintains her defensive position.

Haakon brings his massive two-handed sword around for an overhead hack-and-slice job on the furthest Megaraptor on his side. He hits it twice with his weapon, then bites and gores the beast with hiw own natural weapons.

Megaraptor 4 takes a total of 58 damage from Haakon's weapon, reducing it to 16. The bite and gore dmage does 21 more, killing the beast.

Only Megaraptor 3 is left.. and it suddenly looks a lot less sure of itself then when the ambush began...

Why, the Flanking one of course (the only aura she knows)

Avaniel laughs, the extasy of combat overtaking her, as she flies towards the remaining enemy like an infernal angel of death and strikes against its eyes with a vicious slash of her weapon.

(move: L6, 5ft over the raptors head)

No fancy moves this time. It was time to finish this.

Thorn swirls the chain back around into attack position, hands in the center, with both ends forming a deadly grey blur to either side of her. Quick as thought, the right end nudges forward to chew into Abyssal flesh...followed by the left side.

Klassandra Doomrunner : Female Dwarf Lich Cleric 11

Klassandra, seeing that only one of the beasts remains, continues to hold her unholy warhammer in a defensive position. She looks around for any further threat that may overtake the group.

(OOC: Thorns rolls linked above. 22 damage).

The saurian recoils in agony, reeling.. it backs up and then makes a full run, vaulting off the edge of the canopy and dropping onto another layer of jungle canopy. It looks like it landed badly.

OOC: The megaraptor used it's turn to make a full disengage, runs 30 or so feet, and then falls right off the edge of the canopy. It was down to 9 hp, and takes another 3 damage in the fall.

BoB peers over the edge and meowing he produces another ball of sonic energy, which impacts the fleeing beast. It shudders and drops, laying still.

BoB's quasit chuckles, perched on a branch. "have a nice trip, see ya next fall!"

Klassandra slowly lowers her warhammer, and the rest of the group peers around for any further dangers. It seems relatively quiet.. for a stretch of abyssal jungle.

The hag dusts herself off. "Stupid beasts."

She turns to the group. "Most of you can fly.. but I can't.. he might be able to carry me. " she indicates Haakon. "Anyhow, it's up to you. We can cross here and it's a short trek to Tharirmun's villa. Or we can backtrack around.. I think there's another rope bridge a few miles back, but it goes through dangerous territory. If any of you abyssal types have any special feeling for finding a trail out here, I'd be glad to let someone else lead the way."

Thorn scowls for some reason, then motions at the bridge.

"No reason to make this more complicated than it has to be," she says, as her hooked chain retracts back into the tangled mass of metal coiled around her arm. t-chak, t-chak, t-chak...

She nudges Haakon. "You pick her up and fly over. I'll see to the dretch, if it hasn't got a spell to get across. Done and done."

One hand resting on her hip, Thorn looks around to BoB and motions a finger towards the quasit hovering over his head. "Can you fly like your little friend there?"

Avaniel cleans her weapon, looking at the corpses with disdain. She listen to the Hag and Thorn talking and agrees with the latter in a voice as pleasant as it is confident, "Yes, we will cross here. Make it happen." she nods at Haakon and Thorn.
