Ingot flashes a concerned glance back at Veneficius as the strange glow hits him, but then refocuses on the battle.
"Vulkar, please repair Jax once more," it prays, and again the kobold's wounds quickly close. It clanks over behind the dwarf, giving him an opening to strike, but hopefully setting up Jax for the killing shot. Then it takes a weak backhanded cut at the foe.
The dwarf swings, but the warhammer does little against the heavy plating of Ingot.
When Jax's wounds close up due to Ingot's prayers, he laughs in the face of the hammer-wielding dwarf.
"Hah! Now I feel mighty! And you, dwarf, are dead! No more crossbow-shooting for you!"
Jax hops into the corner and stabs upward at the dwarf's face. The blow is timed expertly (or perhaps just luckily), as the kobold strikes while his foe is too busy hitting Ingot to defend himself.
Jax doesn't stick around long. After striking, he immediately runs across the room so he can threaten the female halfling.
"Rrawwr! Be afraid, softskin!"
Meepo darts alongside Ingot.
"It's just a minor wound, nothing serious." He then lashed at the halfling, stinging his face.
"You should probably think about surrendering. We take good care of our prisoners."
Dorn moves closer to the action, climbing over rubble to do so. He sends a powerful blast of clear blue lightning from his fingertips, but the halfling in front of him dodges at the last minute.
Crag moves into a flanking position with Jax, ignoring the minor threat the halfling posed with a tiny dagger. The warden slashes his blade downwards and it cleaves into the skull of the tiny foe, a few inches into it. Crag pulls the blade out with some effort and the halfling falls to the ground.
The wraith moves next to Ingot and tries to send the construct flying, but his will is far stronger than the creature's assault.
After Crag's display of brutality, the remaining halfling runs at a full speed, calling back
"This ain't worth it" as he moves by

The halflings were studying a mass of melted silver, engraved with Supernal hieroglyphics, that seals the two doors together. Traces of six similar seals, now broken, line the seam between the doors. [/sblock]
