Hit - one target 10 (1d10 + 5) bludgeoning damage

Passive State – In its passive state, the aballin cannot be harmed by any attacks that would not affect a normal pool of water.

Semiliquid composition - The aballin, by nature of its semiliquid composition, is unable to ascend surfaces with a slope exceeding 30 degrees.

Drown – the first victim that is hit by the pseudopods of the aballin must make an opposed grapple check with the aballin (the aballin has a bonus of +7 to this check), and if the aballin wins the check, it can draw the victim into its fluid body, The victim is at risk of drowning, and because the aballin has a body that is comprised of acid, spells such as water breathing offer no help in surviving the effect of drowning.
A trapped Victim can attack the aballin or make further grapple checks to escape the clutch. The character is unable to cast spells with a verbal component, or use any other item or ability that requires speech. If other characters use slashing or piercing weapons to attack the aballin while it is holding the victim, the attacks have a 25% chance of hitting the victim.

Also known as living water, aballins are fluid monsters that entrap and drown creatures that venture within the grasp of their pseudopods.

In their passive state, an aballin resembles a large puddle of normal water, lacking any living creatures, but quite often conprising a large amount of coins, jewelry or other metal belonging to the past victims of the aballin. Despite looking like water, aballins are comprised of a weak acid.

Aballins are often encountered in familes of up to four.
