"First things first, Sapo. We gotta get this kid to a healer and fast, along with Lhavarr and yourself. We can come back for the gem with someone who knows how to safely destory once we know you're all safe." Torqua states, picking up the poor boy. "And someone get that dog to stop licking things!"

Johanna moved forward, helping Torqua get the boy up out of the muck. "You're right. Let's get him and get out of here. The rock can wait, and this muck is too dangerous to play around in."

"Yes, leaving sounds like the only real option. And someone should get the dog away from the stone!" Vimak confirms. The fiery rune above him grows dark and disappears. "Can I help anyone coming up?" He asks, providing the lower end of his weapon to grasp.

"Let's get back out of this cave before we take a rest," Johanna suggested. "I don't think that slime, or that rock, are safe to be around- and neither the boy nor the dog are likely in any shape to linger here..." Her voice was firm, despite her injuries, and her face showed a look of grim resolve.

[sblock= OOC] Let's at least get back out of this particular cave before we take a short rest- in fact, Johanna will not stop until she is out of the cave, and will insist that the boy leave as well. "Right, let's get out of here." Torqua says, carrying the boy. "We've spent far too long in this sewer than anyone ever should." Letting Johanna lead the way, Torqua whistles for dog to follow them.

"Poor kid." Torqua mutters. "What was he thinking coming down here?"

"Maybe someone or something lured him in. Perhaps it isn't his dog..." Vimak suggests. He will help Johanna to determine his condition.

When the group touches the boy to try to leave him, both he and the dog whimper as the glow grows more intense. Startled, the group releases the boy, and the glow subsides momentarily.

"That might work- or it might kill him," Johanna replied to Sapo's suggestion. "It doesn't seem natural- does anyone know anything about magics like this?"

OOC: Looks like a good time for some to try an Arcana or Dungeoneering check- somebody trained, ideally. Anybody?
