Unwilling to risk losing the dog as well, Torqua pushes herself even harder to try and cut the link between stone and kid. "C'mon, using a kid like this? It's completly below someone like you." The fat mage mutters under her breath, wondering if the stone can understand her.

Johnna succeeded on Athletics; that just lets Vimak perform another action than hold the boy (such as a Arcana, Heal, or Dungeenering check, etc.), it is not a success in the challenge (you're swapping who is holding). Torqua succeeded but Lhavaar did not (the stone cannot be "reasoned" with unfortunately).

BTW: Evo, roll me an Endurance check for me, would you?

The group continues to try to help the boy. Torqua manages to push back more of its influence while Sapo makes up for some of Vimak's missteps in trying to treat the boy. Johanna holds down his trashing. Lhavarr, however, is in for a shock. The... whatever... it is within the stone is so foul, so alien... it cannot be reasoned with. He feels the affliction within him respond.

Successes: 4/6. Failures: 2/3. +2 to next Arcana. Lhavarr needs to make an Endurance check.
