The group moves up cautiously, utilizing the hedgerow for cover.

OOC: @renau1g Are the squares at V-26 and W-27 the diagonal door you mentioned before? The boarded up one? Is that a skill check or ability check or an attack to open a boarded up door?


Answer: The V-26 and W-27 is the diagonal door that is open. The boarded up one is at AE/AF 15. You can open it with attack roll or an Athletics check to smash down/pull down the wood. [/sblock]

Inside the doorway, you see an elf carrying a longbow, which appears to be made of bone, and carrying a sword with a solid black blade at his hip. Further inside you see other figures, a dwarf and a dragonborn.

From the boarded up windows, bolts begin flying at the party, and the elf fires his longbow. The dragonborn grips the staff he carries and steps towards the wall.

The dwarf pulls out a large morningstar and is ready for action, while the elf fires at Artemis, his heritage coming forth and the arrow strikes true, slaming into the hexblade's shoulder. Then the archer retreats further into the manor.

OOC: apparently not, I had assumed everyone had gone.... @WalkingDad, feel free to move yourself near the group with a double move action and then do your regular turn.

Dina quickly assessed the situation and knew she had to move to get near the building as quickly as possible. As a battle scholar she started formulating a plan.

"Lerrick, see if you can help Artemis. Malakai, you know what you do best. Nate, Lilli, Artemis could use some cover moving up if you can find a way..."

With that Dina sprinted towards the opening, conjuring a magical spyglass to take a quick moment to study the occupants and then dashed to one side of the door where should could peer through a window.

Lilli runs in front of Artemis, a silvery cobweb accross her hands. She deftly spins it accross Artemis' wounds, whilst Lotte's spider-eyes glow all the brighter.

"Just go get them, Artemis. I'll follow when I can and I'm sure Lerrick can help you, too."

Standard Action : Lilli uses Healing skill on Artemis to allow him to use his Second Wind without spending an action, though he will not get his defence bonuses normally allowed from second wind. Total = 22. Success!

Nate nods and advances. Moving swifter that should be possible for a normal humanoid being of his side he reaches the door without even breaking to sweat. In front of the enemies, he just disappears but a fall of localized wind appears instead.

OOC: Squares of a wall can't be placed corner to corner, they have to be edge to edge.


[sblock=wall]A wall fills a specified number of contiguous squares within range, starting from an origin square.

Each square of the wall must share a side—not just a corner—with at least one other square of the wall, but a square can share no more than two sides with other squares in the wall (this limitation does not apply when stacking squares on top of each other).

You can shape the wall however you like within those limitations. A solid wall, such as a wall of ice, cannot be created in occupied squares.[/sblock]

Artemis moves forward, cursing at the elf's speed, hoping he isn't rushing into danger.

As soon as he can set sights through at the elf, Artemis whispers, "By Khirad's guidance," and levels the rod with his left hand. The eldritch blast of starlight flies true and blasts the elf with force.

Got it! After Lilli stabilizes Artemis's wounds, the cleric provides additional healing, bringing the hexblade to almost Max health.
