[sblock=Stacking Warlords]Our initiative bonuses don't stack, as they're both power bonuses. So there's something of diminishing returns there. On the plus side, any of our allies who spend an action point to make an attack heals 9 hp, gains a +1 bonus on the to-hit roll, and can shift 4 squares before or after an attack. I believe Sir Exsixten should have healed a bit on his turn then.[/sblock]

Andras fires an arrow at one of the hulking wolves, but the missile fails to penetrate the beast's thick hide.

Jax dashes past the wall of fur and sharp teeth to get at the prone alpha wolf in the back. Once there, he dives dagger-first at the large beast. "Kyaaa!" He lands a solid hit into the wolf's side, tumbles backward, and then stands up almost flanking with Sir Exsixten.

OOC: The alpha wolf has -4 AC and Reflex until the end of Jax's next turn. Also...
Bonus damage: Until the start of Jax's next turn, the next ally that hits Dire Wolf Alpha and has combat advantage against it deals 2d8+4 extra damage.

Brenn fired another arrow at the largest of the wolves, again dealing a minor but excrutiatingly painful wound, then stepped back even farther- no doubt these beasts were fast, and he wasn't about to forsake his advantage of range.

Quagmire pauses to survey the battlefield before moving in. Seeing no opening to get through the front line of wolves to the downed leader, he moves to shore up the left flank instead, calling out "Keep after the big'un, lads. I'll keep these off ye." He feints a heavy blow that would leave him exposed, and when the wolf lunges at him, it leaves its flank unguarded for a moment. The metal knight strikes, but the blow is a moment too late.

[sblock=actions]I don't see a useful way for me to help out with the alpha this round, so I'll tank for a bit.

Minor: inspired belligerence. Until SNT, all allies have CA and +4 damage against the Alpha. That way, sneak in the attack shouldn't go wasted even if he manages to save vs. dazed.
Move: to BB75, avoiding OAs.
Standard: Commander's strike on DW3. Sir Exsixten gets a MBA on it with +1 to hit and +4 damage: 15 vs AC misses.

GM: Sir ExSixTen starts at full health because of AP usage with the warlords ability turn before last. Also, Brenn is about as far north as he can go now :)

Despite the effect of Brenn's arrow, the alpha draws upon his reserve strength and manages to get up and bite Sir ExSixTen, ripping through his steel plating. The wolves on either side of him do the same, but their fangs are unable to penetrate the Warforge's armor.

Meanwhile the last wolf moves up and bites Quagmire on the leg, toppling him to the ground.

OOC: If someone takes any of the wolves next to Sir Exsixten down to 20ish HP but doesn't kill it, you can probably kill it by walking by it (assuming they'll take the OA) - Sir Exsixten will interrupt any OA with a +12 vs AC(+ any CA), 1d12+16 damage attack. Edit: those wolves that missed do a scary amount of damage. Even with THP they could potentially drop Sir Ex from full to down in one round.

Brenn took aim at the largest wolf again. He waited until the creature started to step forward, and his arrow struck its foreleg just as its weight came down causing the creature to fall face-first to the paving. A heartbeat later he drew another arrow and fired at the closest wolf- the shot clipped one of the creature's rear legs; it would not be running anytime soon...

OOC: Looks like IC is down, so I'll use the enworld dice roller for once.


Jax swipes at the alpha wolf's throat and cuts a deep bleeding wound. Still, there is some life left in the beast as it bleeds out. Figuring the job is done, Jax moves on to the next target. He walks to flank one of the smaller wolves with Sir Exsixten and stabs at its rear legs. He hits again, hobbling the wolf and causing it to cry out in surprise.

Dorn steps into position (Move to AZ/73) and ravages the feeble minds of the remaining wolves, sending them fleeing in disarray. (Bedevelling Burst hits wolf 2 for 21 psychic damage, hits wolf 3 for 14 psychic damage. Both wolves are pushed 5 squares south.)
