Velbrik - AC: 16; HP: 18/18; Atk: Longsword +5 (1d8+4, 19-20/x2) [Inspired]

Velbrik eyes the wolf warily as he holds up his longsword defensively, preparing to make a grab for the wand. Breaking off his chant (though the effects will last for another five rounds), he attempts to tumble northward, snatching the wand from Thale's unconscious grasp and ending his roll just north of where he lies, flanking the dire wolf.

Coming out of his roll, Velbrik points the wand at Thale and mumbles something under his breath, sending a stream of healing energies rushing towards him (1d8+1).

Untrained Tumble +1, trying to move half-speed (three squares) without taking an attack of opportunity (DC 15), and grabbing the wand during the tumble. I couldn't find any rules for this, but since I've done this before in real life pretty easily (even while holding something vaguely sword-shaped), it can't be too difficult. If you think it'll be possible to do that, but the dice go badly, Velbrik will take the AoO for picking up an item rather than not get the wand on this turn. If none of that is possible, Velbrik will just take a five-foot step north, grab the wand (taking the AoO), then use it on Thale. Summary: Tumble at half-speed to avoid AoO from getting the wand (move action), then use the wand on Thale (standard action).

Thurgan - Init: +2; AC: 18; HP: 29/29; Atk: W-axe +6 (1d10+2), X-bow +5 (1d8+1)

Thurgan thought about lending aid to Thale, but just couldn't take his axe out of the mix. The big wolf wasn't going to go down on its own, Thurgan needed to pound the bugger. He looked to Troi's trouble in the middle of the room and felt the same way - he couldn't abandon his friends here to help Troi and leave them alone against the dire wolf. That didn't mean he was happy about it, though.

Thurgan moved slightly to find a weak point in the wolf's hide, and gave a swing with his axe. Hopefully, he would draw the creature's attention away from the less armored targets.

OOC: +2 for flanking is not factored in above, +1 to hit and Damage for morale not factored in above either, +1d6 sneak vs. orc which is flanked. Thurgan will adjust 5' to better flank the wolf, and attack.

Rurik - on 12, AC 16, 16/21 HP: Waraxe/PA, Inspired +5 1d10+6

"Yer wanna play? Wunnerful!"

Rurik contemplates the orc who just slashed him for a microsecond, before bringing his waraxe down upon the beast, with a mighty swing.

[Rurik, inspired, will Power Attack the Orc in front of him, as in previous rounds. If he drops his opponent, he'll swing again to Cleave Sturm's opponent, same Power Attack.]

OoC:I seem to have forgotten Whitefang in the mix, so I gave him the appropriate amount of attacks against the back of the closest Orc.

Telerin <19> steps back, though his mind rees from a realization. The feral Man in the center of the chamber was a Druid. Drinking the potion <Healed 7 HP>,Telerin feels slightly better.

Aranel <18> stabs at the Orc so recently cme to the battle <4HP>, drawing it's attention away from Telerin.

Thurgan <17> moves around behind the Dire Wolf, hacking deeply into it's flank <16HP including Sneak>. The massive beast roars in pain and anger, dropping Thale's inmoving body.

Rurik <12> misses his Orc, cursing at the beasts naural speed and hide.

Velbrik <12> tumbles towards Thale, avoiding the Monk's strike and the Wolf's jaws, picking up the Wand from where thePriest had dropped it on the ground.Touching it to the arm of the fallen Elf <4HP,pos 1 now>, the Bard smiles to see Thale stir, opening one eye in a gesture of conciousness.
Looking up from where he crouched, Velbrik stared Death in the face, as the huge Wolf's eyes narrowed as it eyed it's next morsel...

Kirin <11> sent a stone crashing into the feral Druid <2HP>, drawing an *umph* of pain from him.

Felix <10> puts an arrow <5HP> into the Dire Wolf's chest, though he fails t drop the beast.

Troi <9> drops his whil and draws his long blade, yelling in rage and bolstered by the Blessing of Kirin as well as the Inspiration of his friend Velbrik. Striking at the Feral Druid, he strikes true <6HP> with Zidaniel's Blade...

Sturm <7> slashes in an overhand strike, cutting deep into his Orc, killing it.

Ishmael <6> swings Violet at his enemy, slamming itin a whelming burst of Light and ain 10HP,dead orc>, the beast faling broken at his feet.

Tara trns and shoots at the Orc upon the platform, hitting the beast between the eyes, showering Aranel in a spurt of dark and foul-smelling blood <Dead orc>.

Whitefang moved to the rear of the cloests Orc, the one near Rurik, leaping at him from behind, savaging the beast's neck <Crit:15HP,Ugh>, knocking the brute down and teraing out his throat<Dead>.

Round Four

Feral Orcs <'Nat 20'>

The sole remaining Orc, a large brute looking much stronger than his brethren, looks to Ishmael, the closest prey, stepping in and swinging his 3" talons in an attempt to evicerate the stalwart halfling Paladin, missing him cleanly <I rolled a '1', lucky Ishmael!>.

The Feral Druid <20> swings once more at troi, despite his sword wound and having been pelted by a rock from behind, reaching out and touching Troi upon the cheek.
Troi's world spins as he staggers under a sudden and virulent Poison <save failed, lost 8 Con,down to Con 2, -4HPXLvl 3=-12 HP.Troi had taken 8 and 4 HP previously, and this brings him to a total of 24, or Neg 4, Ugh!>.
Troi's eyes flutter the breifest moment and then close as he slumps to the ground,Dying...

The Dire Wolf <20> latches onto Velbrik <14HP, D'oh!>, though it's weight fails to knock the Brad helpless.

On the make-shift Alter. something is happening.
The eviscerated body of the man is violently thrashing around, the limbs flailing and the head lolling, the mouth opening and closing over and over. Kirin watches with revulsion as this severs the man's tongue, though the jaws continue to open and close.A torrent of blood and gore suddenly shoots skywards from within the corpse <Yes, Evil-Dead Style> and something big seems to crawl forth from the open cadaver.
All eyes are upon it for the briefest moment, but it is Ishmael who whispers it's name Ravager...a Demon of destruction.
the Demon is a massive creature, standing nearly ten feet tall, with a wiry though muscled body covered in patches of hair and scales. A head vaguely like a hyena or jackal surmounts it's neck, though it is the long tail tipped with a deadly stinger that is the source of it's true danger...

OoC Note:Yes, it's a bit tough, but there are a lot of you folks...It hasn't acted yet, as I rolled it a seperate Initiative, not being a summoned creature, which means that it may go far down the line, or very soon...get in there dwarves!

Feral Monks <19>
The Monk closest to Velbrik rushes at him, missing with his strike.

The Monk next to troi now sets his sights for those on the West end of the chamber, moving down and around the alter towards them...
It has abrely passed the alter when the Demon's tail lashes out, impaling the Monk upon it's wicked tip <6HP damage,Poison,-11 Str...>. The Monk yells and falls to the ground, helpless and shuddering from the venom. The Demon laughs and chortles in an inhuman voice, reveling in the carnage that it will cause...
<And, he used his AofOp on the enemy. I thought that it was in character for a Demon, after all, nobody told him not to kill the poor Feral Monks...

Telerin <19> Is Up...

Thurgan - Init: +2; AC: 18; HP: 29/29; Atk: W-axe +6 (1d10+2), X-bow +5 (1d8+1)

Thurgan didn't want to turn around . . . he heard his friend's voice call out in pain, then nothing . . . no angry retort . . . no smart comment . . . not good. But first things first. Thurgan set his eyes on the wolf and lined it up for a swing. Save these 'ums, then avenge Troi, Thurgan thought.

OOC: +2 for flanking is not factored in above, +1 to hit and Damage for morale not factored in above either, +1d6 sneak vs. orc which is flanked. Attack the wolf, regardless. If Thurgan manages to drop it he will move toward the altar 20' (his move rate). Otherwise, he will 5' adjust away from the wolf, readying to move fully next round.

[Squares are 5 feet, right, Uriel? And Troi is down? Just plotting.]

OoC:Yep and unfortunately, Yep again. The Feral Druid currentl has his back to those in Rurik's group, looking as if he is preparing to attack those facing the Dire Wolf next.

[occ]little insomnia and a moment to check in[occ]

kirin has several flasks of holy water still. she will move 20 ft each round she and the demon are alive and throwing a flask each round. When she can move around to troi without directly engaing Mr nasty, (third round by my best count, sucks to be Small) she will burn light to stabalize him, then stay over him to prevent any coup de gracing. More importantly if she recognizes the poison spell and its implications (know arcane and religious both +6 plus the +1 from guidence if she is making the assessment after combat is over) she will use her protection domain ability to give him a +2 to his second save (doesn't look like it will stack with resistance sadly). Except for the occasional gasp of effort, kirin is silent in her actions, neither expressing anger, nor invoking any outside agency to aid her work.
