Round 4: Sewer Scramble
[sblock=Previous Rounds]
Round 1
Round 2
Round 3[/sblock]
Kellindil steps around the corner and lets fly from his crossbow. The bolt slams into the wererat's shoulder, causing a great deal of damage. The monster remains on its feet however, swaying from loss of blood. Stepping past Muzdum, he says blandly, "Help the others; I'll take care of that one." (HIT)
Quan winces at his injuries and coughs up blood. He grins though and follows Orsik in closer to the giant under-dweller. Spinning around he kicks out three times. Two connect and he uses the momentum for the third. Suddenly he falls into a swarm of flies. (HIT)
Rikka stepped away from the wererat, and then ran back into the darkness of the tunnel.
[sblock=Rikka]You are now completely in the dark (Braddock dropped the sunrod at M15)[/sblock]
Orsik draws golden rune which flies quickly and stops in front of Muzdum, spinning lazily. "Muzdum, can you borrow some of your toughness? Pierce the rune you see and it will armor you, Braddock and me and heal us." As dwarven warrior touches it, it flies apart, runes of protection dropping on his armor and pieces flying over to besieged warlock and back to Orsik. With it comes relief and strength to continue. Orsik almost casually shrugs off constricting tentacle and turns Osvetnik down and jabs at the ground. From the impact point golden light spreads out enveloping two guards and the otyugh.
[sblock=Orsik’s Zone]WSG1 & 2; and Otyugh: if hit Orsik or an ally within the zone, they grant CA; enemies must pay 2 extra squares of movement when leaving the zone (no shifting). *NOTE: Quan slid otyugh out of zone.[/sblock]
Braddock cackles with glee despite the wounds. Orsik's runes heal his wounds. He sings, "Oh I once knew a rat from Sharn! I killed it, HA!" Braddock steps back from the two wererats who attacked, he points his craghammer and a roar and cacophony of screams and shouts echo forth. It is as if all the sounds ever made in one insane asylum came roaring out all at once. The one wererat is caught up in the burst. (HIT & MISS)
GM: | Muzdum (NPC’d)
Move: L14>N15
Standard: Slash & Pummel against Wererat sewer guard 1 (AC 20/REF 20): +12 vs. AC; 1d12+6; 2nd Atk: +11 vs. Reflex; 7 damage: 1d20+12=23, 1d12+6=13, 1d20+11=18 HIT for 13; MISS | |
The remaining wererats all seem to wince and shake a little bit as their lycanthropic disease start to speed their healing unnaturally (wererats regenerate 5 hit points, wererat sewer guards regenerate 10 hit points, minion 0). The wererat sewer guard fighting Quan, doesn’t heal this turn.
After the otyugh stops its forced movement by the elf-monk, it reels in pain from Braddock’s curse. It shifts its mass towards the center of the pool, and then it lashes out with its tentacle, but the wily elf dodges the clumsy attack. It finally manages to rid itself of Braddock’s curse. (MISS)
The wererat manages to drink its elixir, shifts to the side and breaths out a large burst of dragon flame! The unexpected blast manages to catch both dwarfs and Kellindil (who had concealment, but blast effects ignore concealment) in the blast (HIT for 10 fire damage each)
The wererat fighting Rikka takes its chance to move closer to the others fighting, avoiding the dead elf-cat in the shadows. It takes off, nears the sewer trench and easily vaults over the sludge, but doesn’t stop its movement there. It sees Quan being attacked by the otyugh and tries to sneak in an attack as well. Quan – bolstered by the goliath – manages to dodge at the last minute. (MISS)
Seeing one of its own dropped by the combined efforts of the adventurers, it hisses its outrage and attacks the goliath runepriest in front of it. Orsik manages to deflect the strike. (MISS)
