Leather lashes out with all of his might, muscles hardening like iron as he strikes like a snake at the half giant next to him' thigh, meaning to end one of the threats the group faces immediately. Leather attempts to press the attack hard, but his blade catches in the goliath's flesh, and as he pulls it back it snags on sinew and almost wrentches the blade free from his hands. It is all he can do not to drop the sword to the ground.

The remaining bladeling from the leftmost ship thought it got out of the reach of the mighty winds. However with a pull of her hands Ilex calls the whirlwind towards her and tossing the bladeling backwards. If not for holding on to the goliath again the bladeling would have been flung much farther. Ilex followed up by making her Glorious Presence known. The bladeling finally succommed to her attacks while the goliath had quickly learned not to underestimate the strange female.

OOC: LOL... you bastages! You managed to take out all of my bladelings without having to take an attack from their death spikes! ;) good job! I'll be making a post tomorrow.
 


The battle rages on! The remaining Bladelings charge Fhangrim's pets, dishing out a few additional puncture wounds, but both remain intact and on the material plane. Ilex meets the end of a wicked spear thrust that opens a gash in her side. Howling in victory, the goliath wielding that spear stabs Noctua, causing her to bleed profusely as well, but both manage to stay in the fight. Thinking his foe finished off and wanting fresh blood, the goliath facing off with Haaku turned his back and charged Fhangrim, a mistake Haaku was quick to capitalize on by raking his sword across the Goliath's back. Already incensed with blood rage, however, the Goliath continues his onslaught against the Gnoll and manages a heavy strike against the circus performer. Leather, having gotten the attention of the other Goliath, fought furiously to counter the spear thrust at him, but while his blades deflected the blow, they did not manage to steer it completely away from him, and he felt the searing pain of steel as it burrowed into his side, nearly dropping him. Furious that his companion ran away from a living enemy, the large orc swung his axe at neck level toward the unsuspecting Haaku. The desert dweller jumped back, thinking he had been able to dodge the attack...until he looked down and saw his life blood pooling in his shirt and felt the breeze of salty air on his neck wound...

OOC: The temp hp were listed in your last 2 attack posts for UM... and since I was being lazy and didn't want to figure out where it came from... I just left it there and figured it was accurate (since it was there twice)...

OOC: Nope. That was an error on my part. I forgot to reset the hp at the end of last encounter.

Fhangrim saw Haaku drop, but he was too far away to help and had gotten himself penned in by the raiders. It was a tactical error that may cost the man his life.

He and his girls stepped back and he fired more stones at the enemies in front of him, hoping to clear the way.

The rocks skipped and bounced, injuring the goliath and the killing one of the bladelings.

The gnoll than took a moment to tend to his wounds.

Ilex realises she is unable to assist Haaku, so she positions herself to best help her other two companions. Noctua shifts to block the path of the goliath in front of her. Leather needs healing. This means that Ilex must allow the whirlwinds to die. She does so without hesitation, pushes forth the energy of nature, guiding it to Leather where brilliant green leaves of light bandage wounds and stop bleeding. That taken care of, Ilex turns to Fhargrim’s side of the dock. She focuses her will the on the creatures willing their blood to solidify to stone. The bladeling succoms to the thickening blood and his body burst as his heart expodes under the pressure . The goliath however seems unfazed.
