Papolstaanas appears to hesitate for a moment. A fierce wind gathers and tears through the room, scattering papers and small objects, lifting two of the dogs and dashing them with astonishing violence against the judge's bench.

With the wind still whirling around him, Papolstaanas turns away from the remaining dog. A writing quill floats into the air and embeds itself in one of the werewolves, looking almost decorative, just a moment before Papolstaanas skewers the creature with is rapier.

Nightmare Vortex: Until the end of the encounter, any enemy that starts its turn within 3 squares of Papolstaanas gets slid 1 square.

Minor: shifty--shift to K9.

Move > minor: oath of enmity on WW1.

AP: charge to N10. overwhelming strike vs AC (+1 charge), WW1; damage

hits for 25 damage. Papolstaanas won't do the shift and slide so as to leave the werewolf adjacent to Illarion.

WW1, WW2, wolf 1, and wolf 2 will begin their turns in the nightmare vortex. If anyone wants them slid anywhere, let me know. Papolstaanas will slide WW1 to another square adjacent to him so as to get CA on it.

If WW1 survives and attacks Illarion, Papolstaanas will lightning rush it (aug 2). If a wolf attacks Eloan and he is still within range, Papolstaanas will use guardian's counter and take advantage of Eloan's overwhelming force trap power, substituting Iron Fist for his basic attack to get some damage resistance.[/sblock]
[sblock=Off-Turn Actions for Papolstaanas]Off-Turn Actions
Lightning rush (aug 2) if werewolf 1 attacks Illarion. Guardian’s Counter (using overwhelming force trap to use Iron Fist) if a wolf attacks Eloan.

Guardian’s Counter (interrupt): Triggers when an ally within 2 of Papolstaanas is attacked and Papolstaanas is not included. Papolstaanas and the ally shift 2 (swapping places), the attack is resolved against Papolstaanas instead, and afterwards Papolstaanas gets to make a basic attack (Overwhelming Strike) against the attacker.

Papolstaanas will use Guardian’s counter to protect any vulnerable person in the group unless it’s likely to drop him.

Lightning Rush (interrupt):Triggers when an enemy within 5 of Papolstaanas targets an ally with an attack. Papolstaanas moves his speed to be adjacent to the enemy and attacks (+13 vs. AC, 2d8+6 damage). The triggering attack is then resolved against him rather than the intended target. (This is the augmented 2 version, which Papolstaanas will always use. If he doesn’t have power points, he won’t bother with this power.)

Papolstaanas will always use this on ranged attackers if he can get there without provoking (since it’s an interrupt, the ranged attack will provoke an OA from him as well).

Melee Basic Attacks: Papolstaanas uses Overwhelming Strike for OAs and granted melee basic attacks. He will try to arrange his slides and shifts so that he can shift clear of enemies on his next turn.

Wrathful Warrior (no action): Papolstaanas gains 4 temp HPs the first time he is hit by a melee or close attack.

Blurred Step (free, 1/turn): Triggers when an enemy marked by Papolstaanas and adjacent to him shifts. Papolstaanas shifts 1.

Papolstaanas will follow his mark around if he can. If the mark is also his oath target, he will try to keep the oath active (i.e., maneuver so as not to be adjacent to other enemies). He will also try to maneuver so as to be able to shift clear of enemies on his next turn.[/sblock]

After hurriedly replacing his notebook and pencil with his orb, Gil conjures a dark replica of his potential self. The shadowy assassin strikes out at the werewolves, leaving openings for Illarion and Papolstaanas. Each wolf is busy with the dark Gil, as shadows begin to roil out from the conjuration. Darkness surrounds the wolves and obscures Illarion and Papolstaanas from view.

During all this, the real Gil took cover behind a pew and began reviewing his options again. *Maybe I should uncork some of this wolfsbane...* thinks the scholar, *of course, an unconscious werewolf would be easier to treat...*

Gil conjures a Phantasmal Henchman in flanking position with Illarion (P8).

Eloan falls back and starts to panic. "No, get out of me... that's hurt... go away..." As he panic, he activate his amulet and the wolf suddenly release him. Eloan quickly stands up and raise his shield, expecting the second wolf to attack him again. "Help, they are two against me!"

OOC: To other players, Eloan is a coward, and you can hear it in his complain for help ;) He doesn't need help for now. Also, look at the SBLOCK below just for you. Some goodies you might want to use in the futur.

Trigger:

2) The enemy that miss is not a minion
3) The enemy has a valid enemy target within 2 square of the missed ally.
4) The new target is not a minion.
Effect: The target repeats the attack as a free action against a creature you choose within 2 squares of the target of its original attack. The new target must still be legal for the attack.

OOC: OK, Papolstaanas slides the WWs into N9 and O9 at the start of their turn (so they're still adjacent to both Papolstaanas and Illarion). He'll leave the wolves where they are for the moment.

OOC: Do as Cabana asked, as long as wolf 2 stay next to Eloan, as he will take the next hit targeted to Eloan, and leave Wolf 1 too, so he is tempted to attack Eloan an so Wolf2 would take the hit.

OOC: Sorry guys, I've tried to post an update twice and both times the server's died mid-update. I have most of it ready. Work's kicking my ass right now. Hopefully today or tomorrow. Next fight I'll do with Google maps to make it easier on myself (I'd already had the map assets set up for this one
