[Adventure] Scratching the Surface (Judge: Stonegod)

On Puget Sound

First Post
Ryk and Spring arrive early, but not quite as early as the treeman. Seeing him on the dock, the halfling approaches. Good morning, Karananak. I hope you slept well.... you do sleep, don't you? There are so many kinds of beings in Khorvaire... Crush, for instance. He doesn't sleep. Or eat. Speaking of eating... He hands the wilden a slice of cooked meat. Not for you, for Spring. Offer it to him while I stand beside you. It tells him you are to be trusted.

Varis arrives early at the docks (perhaps not that early, judging by the other group members that are already there), whistling a traveling chant as he moves.

First Post
This morning arrives, seemingly more quickly than most. The first rays of dawn just begin to peak over the horizon. You make your final preparations and head for the docks. A cool, stiff breeze adds a chill to the air on an otherwise already brisk morning, but it will make for good sailing.

You reach pier 14 with plenty of time to spare. The Horizon's Arrow is a majestic Galleon, bedecked in the colors of House Tharash. Rhogar d'Tharashk is already topside, anticipating your arrival. When he sees that you have arrived, the grumpy face you remember from yesterday evening is replaced by a beaming countenance.

"Welcome to the Horizon's Arrow good sirs!"
Rhogar yells down below. "Captain, send up the First Mate the six recruits are here, requesting permission to board your ship!"

A few moments later a middle-aged man with a slight hunch hurries up the stairs, though his condition must surely keep him in constant pain, he doesn't allow it to slow him down in order to prove his continued worth on the ship. He looks down is hooked nose at the lot of you and scratches the graying scruff around his chin.

"Permission granted. Welcome aboard," he says, almost automatically as if this is a practiced routine he has grown tired of over the years.

OOC: Sorry for the delay, work was hectic for a few days.

"Sir! Crush reporting for duty, sir!," the warforged booms, snapping off a Cyran salute to Lord Rhogar as he boards the vessel.

Karananak Bole (A.K.A. Swarmwhisper), Wilden Swarm Druid/Artificer 5

All Aboard

Karananak takes the little slice of cooked meat, turning it over indifferently in his slender, branchy fingers. He holds out the offering of friendship to the hunting lizard, carefully holding his myriad black spines in another direction. Once the clawfoot takes the offering, the wilden turns and heads up the gangplank in the long loping strides of an animal pretending to be a man.

Seeing the crew meticulously scrubbing the decks of the ship, the tree man ever so slightly tries to retract the claws on his predatory feet, as to not tear up the wooden surface as best he can. But every step he takes leaves marks anyway on slowly swaying floor of the vessel. He nods to his employer and then to the first mate and the rest of the group.[sblock=Actions]Free: wordlessly greet folks.

Ryk eagerly runs up the gangplank, keeping Spring close by his side and a comfortable distance from strangers. Once the party is aboard and settled, he repeats the feeding ritual with the other members of the party, though not with the ship's crew. During the trip he will do this several more times.

Riaan inspects the ship with an appraising eye as the Aundairan takes in the vessels quality, not even acknowledging the captain as he walks onto the ship.

"Seems adequate enough." he pronounces and moves towards to bow of the vessel.

First Post
Serek walks up the gangplank with heavy steps, pack on one shoulder, hammer held near the head. He cast a look around the ship, it was a good ship from the looks of things, but Serek had an intense dislike for sailing ships. However, the currents on this coast of Khorvaire were much gentler compared to those around Argonesson and hopefully they would be staying within the sight of shore. "Our accommodation's are prepared I hope?" Serek ask's his patron.

"Hey, first time on a ship that isn't flying. That should be interesting."
Varis says smiling as he boards the ship, seemingly only carrying light luggage.

:confused::confused::confused:

Totally missed the use of RPs in LEB

Would you allow me to redeem 6 RPs for Varis to bring him to level 6?
That way he would be nearer to the average party level. The mechanical part of the adventure hasn't yet begun and this way I wouldn't need to get approved twice (once for level 5 and a second time for level 6.

Thanks!
