Spitting blood out of his mouth, the human stands to his feet, fire is in his eyes as the arcanist gets up. "Filth, you will pay for striking me." he growls, a tangible field of energy surrounds the genasi engaging Karananak.

Riaan then turns his attention to the enemy Crush has engaged and holds out his free hand, closing it in a choking motion. Dark energy swirls around the genasi's throat as Riaan's spell takes effect, but the elemental foe tears away at the last moment, negating its effect.

Serek loses his hammer and moves to one of the raiders, tracing a rune upon the head of his hammer. He swings at the genesai striking it with his hammer and a flash of draconic runes play across its skin. "Strike it now!" he calls to his allies. Sereks own scales flush with vicious red runes.

The heavily armored Genasi steps forward with a warning.

"You should NOT have interfered in our affairs. Now you will share the fate of the others!"

He raises his sword overhead and as he brings it down upon Serek's head lightning rushes down the blade. Fortunatey Serek is able to dodge the awkward swing.

The fire genasi fire bolts of flame at Riaan. As the bolts impact off the swordmage, Karananak is showered with flaming embers. Karananak manages to shift his form enough to avoid harm from the fire.

OOC: Just a note that I have +2 defenses against Tempest 1 as he's cursed (from my armor). I updated the spreadsheet with Varis' heal too

OOC: Since On Puget Sound is on vacation, I will NPC his turn.

Ryk and Spring attempt to circle the enemies, Ryk ending up engaged with the leader and spring with the tempest.

Ryk uses his hunter's insight (quarry) against the well armored leader hoping he can land a blow against him in spite of his protective steel shell.

The initiate easily parries the Tagnat, but Ryk's short sword narrowly finds an opening.

Genasi Tempests

One tempest has been heavily battered by the heroes, but his twin gives him a reassuring nod. They both draw a current of water from the ground. (Recharge succeeds for both).

The first tempest becomes less solid, turning at once into a being of acid. He then flows through Karananak and Riaan before taking position between the wolf and Karananak.

Though Karananak and Riaan avoid any harm from the rush of acid that comes there way, the tempest only pauses for a moment, while his brother surges through Crush and Ryk before emerging at Riaan's flank.

Crush and Ryk are also unharmed, but the first tempest then taunts Riaan.

"THIS TIME WE FINISH YOU!"

The first tempest strikes with his blade. He cannot connect, so he relies on his brother to do the same but the heroes catch a break as his strike also comes up empty. The bloodied tempest then shifts onto the rocks, hoping for a more well defended position.

Acid Genasi

The genasi walks into the midst of the group and summons a whirlpool of acid. The acid surges from the genasi (close burst 2) and covers his enemies (enemies only).

The vortex hits the Wolf, Karananak, Ryk, Crush, and Serek, dealing significant damage and moving them to less advantageous positions.
