As the dragonborn rounds the corner he sees the portal in view in the center of a room. The portal glows and pulsating reddish pink and sound is a constant hum of pure energy. it is clear that this is the portal that brother Naivo talked about as you left the city of Daunton on your journey.

Quan moves forward toward the portal, "I don't understand these magic rituals. Do we need those orbs to travel through the portal or are the orbs for the ritual the Brother is to perform?"

"That is a nice sword," Halleck remarked. "Care to trade?" he asked, offering up the orb.

As the warlord talks to the sorcerer the portal begins to activate, flashing with strobe light intensity. Then in a loud clap of thunder a man in a bloodied robe staggers from the from it, collapsing to the ground. With some effort he manages to look upward towards the party. Are...you...escorting the...one...named Lerrick?

Pausing for an answer he begins to slip into a state of unconsciousnes, but then snaps out of it as he is determined to continue speaking to you. As we where...preparing for the ritual...the servants of Bosch invaded our compound. Many...have been slain... Brother Buchta told me to find you...Hurry...enter the portal...seek out brother Buchta...stop the invasion!...go!...before its too late! He then collapses once again to the ground in a state of unconsciousness.

OOC: Halleck now has his sword giving the strange orb to Raijin[/sblock]
