Bellegon continues moves slowly, his muscles still spasming from temporal attack. He gets near the ramp and glares at the warrior above him. Almost palpable wave of power runs from him to the warrior. Worse, small shadow dettaches from the warrior and start spinning in tight spiral around the drow.

Bellegon started at -A1 on the ground (I just realized I posted A0, which doesn't make sense and is illegal, as W1 could not have pushed to there from B1 (where he was during the charge). Should have just drawn the picture.[/sblock]

Vok flashes a smile as he parries the thrust from the warrior, quickly spinning his blade up and then smashing the crossguard into the man's face, leaving him with a broken nose as he falls to the ground. The half-elf steps over the fallen man and spots another warrior harrying Ryk. He points his blade at the man "Come down and face a true warrior and I can dispatch you as easily as I did your friend you cur!" Vok calls out in a loud, booming voice to get the man's attention over the din of battle, and of course for the delight of the crowd he is sure is watching.

Rikka scrambled back to her feet and shook her head once, to clear out the disorientation from the attempted teleportation. Then she lashed out at the Orien once again, slashing her totem through the air and attempting to stir the winds back into action...

Final Stage: Platform Battle! Round 4

Ryk surrounds the warrior again and with a quick jab, draws some blood from the small wound.

[W2 bloodied]

While the warrior is harried, Bellegon moves beneath him and catches him in his baleful gaze. Blood starts flowing easily from this nose and ears now.

[Hit. Note, W2 does has cover from that angle.]

Crush attempts to rally the troops, but his blade arm is still weak. He finally shakes free of the wizard's curse. But it is enough for Vok to slip in behind and knock the man to the ground senseless. He then declares against the other warrior.

[W1 down.]

Rikka comes to her feet. Clearing her head, she calls for the deadly winds against the scion. He manages to keep from falling, clinging to the platform.

[Orien saves; prone]

The final bodyguard, bloodied, throws down his weapon. I won't be part of this anymore![/color]

The mage chuckles at the Orien's difficulty. She's got your number, Lawren! He casts another spell at Rikka, but it misses her this time. He shrugs.

The Orien scion picks himself up, and with an icy glare, cuts space to appear beside her. But his luck is cursed, as the blade swings wide! The crowd laughs at his misfortune!

There are three levels above the ground. Each platform is actually made of a see-through substance, so you have line of sight (but not line of effect) through them. Every level is 10' above the next (and Level 1 is 10' above the ground). There are no railings anywhere. On the map, a red border indicates a platform above you; a blue border represents a platform below.

There are two ramps (the darker stone) going from Level 1 to 2; the triangle marks the entrance on either level. Going up the ramp is considered difficult terrain.

There are ropes hanging from each corner of the platforms on Level 3 and from Level 1 towards the ground. They are 5' long.[/sblock]Combat Rules
Actions will be handled in posting order; I will bot folks that don't post within a day using at-wills only. I will post info about the monsters as discovered. Other important rules are summarized below.[sblock=Important Rules]Hop Down: Acrobatics DC 15 not to fall, landing on feet w/ no damage.

Reduce Falling Damage: Trained Acrobatics; reduce damage by 1/2 check.

  • Bellegon DC 7 running, 14 standing
  • Crush DC 0 (always reaches)
  • Rikka DC 5 running, 10 standing
  • Ryk DC 13 running, 25 standing
To grab the rope dangling from the center platform on Level 3 does not require a jump. To grab the ones from the other two pillars requires the same difficulties as for jumping above, except Crush needs an Athletics DC 5 standing/10 running to jump the 1 square horizontally.

Climbing: It is a DC 10 Athletics check to climb the ropes; you fall if you roll 5 or lower. Remember, its double movement to climb.

Back, Spring! Kuu! Kuu! Ryk's voice calms his companion, who clearly wants to keep attacking the surrendered foe. Follow!
Ryk and Spring both get a running start and leap to the center platform, where they maul Scar in a frightening and entertaining display of ferocity. Spring struggles a bit to find his footing after the jump and fails in his attack , but Ryk hits hard.


MOVE: Ryk to D6 upper, Spring to E6 upper (athletics succeeds on a roll of 1+; no roll needed).

MINOR: Hunter's quarry: Scar

STANDARD: Partnered Savaging. Spring misses with a 15 (half damage), Ryk hits with a 28. Total damage 24.

CONDITIONAL 1: Use Second Chance racial power on the next attack that would hit Ryk or Spring to force a re-roll of the attack.
CONDITIONAL 2: A melee attack on Spring triggers an opportunity attack from Ryk, even if Ryk cannot reach the attacker. (beast protector feat)
