Crush was just moving up to the podium to make his acceptance speech, expounding the group's masterful tactics, when the fighting breaks out. He is a bit slow though to shift his own tactical plan from oratory to swordplay.

Chaos rules as fire and smoke fill the area. Before anyone can act, one of the men in the back, a member of the Cyran team, tosses a dagger at the Lord still standing at the dais. It is low, and remains embedded in the wood.

Even with her keen senses, it was difficult for Rikka to tell just which celebrants were hostile in such a chaotic rush. She settled for a quick glance around the room as she drew the totem from her belt...

Rikka pulls forth her totem, trying to tell friend from foe. It is soon made clear as the hook nosed Cyran in the back orders her lackey's to attack. A ragtag bunch, dressed in the Aerenal death masks—stand in for the waiters—rush onto the tables, crossbows pointed at Lord ir'Haran. The mage lets out two blasts of flame when cajoled by the Cyran leader; the lord is lightly singed, but ignores the worst of it.

Ryk is in bad shape from the day's fights (no healing surges left) and is not all that invested in the outcome of this quarrel. He backs away from the combatants and uses his boomerang to support his friends while figuring out how to escape the gathering.

He pulls the one of his rods out and glares at the attacker. Small shadow flits over poor soul, but it passes unnoticed.

"Rikka, let's get these two!" He points toward the back of the stage (TR & ID)

Also, are we 5th level here? For the needs of new powers and hit points...or we wait for the rest? I retrained Ethereal Stride for Fast Hands as I'll change my dagger and rods fairly often...and I could use a dagger now.

With a slashing gesture of her totem, Rikka called upon the primal powers at her command, lashing out at the nearest pair of foes. Without waiting to see what effect her attack might have had, she darted away through the crowd, moving towards the platform steps...
