Lanharath's posture straightens.

"If this quest involves routing those who would hold darkness in their hearts, then you have our sword and Il-Yannah's will."

"I don't know any of them, so don't take that question personal, but Khyber can sometimes become surprisingly persuasive. What do you want us to do if any one of them have turned there back to the flame to follow the dark cult?" asks River.

"There is but one thing that can be done. If they've been corrupted by the darkness, they must be destroyed. Their evil must be cleansed and perhaps they might join the Flame, but the important thing is to end their threat" she says coldly

You can detect a hint of guilt in her hardness, she obviously doesn't relish this part

River look a moment at Valahad. Why killing is the only way to end a threat? If people goes into the darkness, why could they cannot come out of it? Violence should not be the solution to follow, but this world have been built on it. The Last War have shown it.

Perky shows increasing signs of discomfort as to where this is going... *These flamists sound cult like, with us or dead...*

"It is nightfall, we were retiring for the evening. We have provided food and temporary shelter to ease their suffering, I do not like the insinuation kalashter, we've spent the better part of a month aiding them.

"Of course Lady, no offense was meant. We just walked into town, on a mission for Lady Pender of Sharn. We heard of the refugees upon our arrival and came to see if they needed aid. Upon our arrival into their midst, the Sons of Khyber attack. We stopped them. I assume you know of Lady Pender? She is blessed by your Silver Flame, and sent us here."

Then to reassure the others, he sends telepathic messages to his allies, "She speaks the truth."

"We shall go for your cause, to the Shadow Marches. Trust that I speak for all of us."

The kalashtar speaks into the mind of River, "If they have truly been gone for a year, the grip that Khyber has put on their mind is strong. Perhaps pulling them away from their place of worship would break the hold. If we encounter them and they have swayed from their mission, we shall do this if you wish."

"What we do not understand, Lady," Lanharath says, placing his hand on his chest to indicate that he is refering to himself rather than the group at whole, "is why the agents of Kyber would bother with simple refugees. What would they gain from such an action? Do you happen to know if they simply seek to cause chaos and disorder, or could their aims be focused on a 'higher' goal? In either case, they must be stopped, but it may be easier for us to find them and defeat them if we know what they are after in the first place."

"We haven't been able to discern the meaning behind their madness, it is difficult in dealing with those who worship the Dragon Below. Perhaps they are serving a daelkyr or mind flayer, using the refugees for sacrificial offerings, or something far worse. All we know is that they have slain those that refuse their offer to join the cult." she replies

Has anyone invited them to join you? Perky asks, stone faced. There isn't a hint of mirth, because he is serious.
