I enjoyed Altered Carbon. Some of the narrative changes from the book were good, some were bewildering. I feel like the last two episodes needed an extra pass of revision and editing to tighten the action and keep the emotional throughline. There was too much cross-cutting.

The sleeve usage is going to be a problem if the story gets the change to move into the later novels, as Kinnaman can't be a part of it anymore if they stay true to the books.

Nah it works fine for Doctor Who.

Watched it. Liked it but yeah the last few episodes were a bit deus ex. Hey you are centuries in the future but surprise! Don’t want to spoil stuff.

I did find the main guy to be a bit of a Mary Sue. He’s better than everyone else at pretty much everything. Found it off putting.
