There's a gremlin overpopulation problem. They're just foraging for food because they've depleted their local supply. But it's okay, we're looking into exterminators

The current issues with the software in question are the result of a techical glitch (we forgot to leave out the chips), but several countermeasures are in place. Initially, we are looking into a short term but fast solution (leaving out the chips), while researching the possibility of a longer-term solution (culling the herd). A permanent solution has been considered (wiping out the entire herd), but has for the moment been rejected due to a shortage of sufficiently trained and able staff to carry out such an operation (all the guys in the office said they didn't want to get their shoes dirty). We thank you for your patience (while we sit around and play some games before doing any actual work).
