I've been going over my collection of RPG books and I've found I have three categories of books:
a) those I use regularly (for me that means DnD3E)
b) those I bought for background content (often books on other systems, eg Pendragon for all the knightly information or Sengoku for Japanese background information)
c) those I bought because there was one or other reason for liking them other then practical use. (eg Hackmaster: I bought the Hackmaster-PHB because I wanted to see what the Knights of the Dinner Table were playing and started collecting them all because they are a very good entertaining read (LOADS of fun just trying to find all the puns and hidden references)
