That would be pretty cool. And as far as I'm aware, it was never explained what Graz'zt was up to during that period. He'd easily hook into that sort of adventure, and he did feature in Tasha's as well.
Graz'zt's plans during the time frame of Out of the Abyss were covered in the related Adventurer's League modules. He was being aided by a half-fiend fire giant daughter of his, if I recall correctly.

I stand corrected! I have yet to read Erin M. Evan's books, though they are on my list to get to eventually (maybe they'll be back in print by the time I get to it, though there's still the Kindle version available). And I must have missed that part of the AL season. Admittedly, I didn't play more than a handful of the adventures for it.

Grazzt was explored actions in that time period are explored in the the last 2 novels of Brimstone Angels Saga, I recommend reading them highly.

Another thing I've been pondering today is whether we might instead see Into the Abyss, with the PCs facing down Lolth herself in the Demonweb Pits at the end. This would enable the Udadrow to be freed of her influence, without any retconning.

No, Lolth is too Iconic and beloved a villuan and one of the other Dark Seldarine would just take her place if she did die.

No the whole point of this exercise is too keep Lolth and the traditional Drow cultures while appeasing those who want less grim dark Drow options and cultures. This is WotC's compromise and I'm fine with it.

It's in the title. There seems to be an awful lot of Drow-related chatter all of a sudden. We have been told there is a "big summer adventure" but no hint as to what it is about. D&D Live is a bit late to announce a "summer" title (although it could be August).

Maybe it actually features Drizzt and co, and ties into the Dark Alliance video game?
Given it's supposed Hot Drizzt Summer or whatever I'm pretty sure this will be the case. What will Drizzt's equivalent to WAP, dare we ask? Dare we brave both Drizzt and Bruenor twerking at us at once?

(I regret that the mental image I accidentally conjured by typing this will not leave my mind... or do I...?)

Doesn't fit the schedule. We know the next book after the adventure is the dragon-related sourcebook.

Is it probable? Yeah, based on the UA. But we do know a lot of material ends up on the cutting room floor, so we don't actually know if there is a dragon book that will be published.

Anyway, I personally don't think a Drow book is the next adventure. It could be, but I do feel like WotC is trying to release very unique adventures every year, exploring diverse environments. We already have Out of the Abyss, I doubt we would get another Underdark focused book.

I also really doubt this is a setting book, because Drizz't is extremely Sword Coast focused, and that book already happened.

Hot Drizzt Summer sounds like a D&D porn parody LMFAO. Its Summer of Legend and Legend of Drizzt.

He's branching out from the Swordcoast more in the upcoming books, because the new Drow cities aren't on the Swordcoast (the Swordcoast has no jungles for example).

Plus when Drizzt became one with the multiverse he was literally everywhere, apart of every bit of Realmspace. And Eberron. And Krynn. And Hell. And Brightwater. Oerth too. Etc...

Its why it was surprising Drizzt wasn't a Planeswalker.

That's not a half-bad idea, though I would think if this was happening they would have rolled it out with the whole Drizzt thing yesterday.
