People forget just how much comedy was in BG1 & 2. I'm not surprised in the least that Larian got the contract.

Actually, Blood in Baldur's Gate (I would describe it as an episodic short story rather than a game) is clearly heavily influenced by Sherlock Holmes stories, to the extent that this take on Baldur's Gate feels like a pastiche of Victorian London.

I like checking up on this daily. It's not a game, just one man wandering around, who is not allowed to piece things together (or even open letters addressed to them) until it is dramatically appropriate.

Like... are you even a private investigator if no-one's even tasked you with a job? It's okay to say you just like going through crime scenes and meeting new people as a hobby! Even though you also seem bad at meeting new people, based on all the interactions you get at the bar...

Still, it's fun to see.
