D&D General Brainstorming: Replacing the D20 with 2D10 - foreseeable effects?

Clint is close. The chance to roll a 2 on 2D10 is exactly 1%, to roll a 3 is exactly 2%, and so the amount of crits and fumbles drops from 5% from the use of a D20 to 3% on 2D10. (For what's worth, rolling a 4 on 2D10 is 3%, a 5 is 4% and so on ... it's pretty intuitive.)

Also, I enjoy crit and fumble tables and like to make them class-specific. It helps alleviate the kind of issue you raised, Mistwell.
