hey! i am running a realms campaign in unther and need some ideas of castles that would be dotted on the countryside. in college so i don't have enough time to draw up maps for everything. the setting is babylonian, sumerian, arab type culture. so if you know of any good maps that are of this type, let me know! thanks enworlders!

iight

alright, i am accepting everything. and it doesn't take much to change a medieval european castle to give it a little more mid eastern feel.

Check out one of the used RPG dealers (like www.nobleknight.com) or eBay and look for the old Judges Guild books "Castle Book I" and "Castle Book II". These contain maps of various size castles from simple towers to large castles.

Also Dark Furies has a PDF product with castle floorplans, you can check out some samples on thier web site.

You might also want to check out the AlQdim (sp) ESD's from SVGames. Since this was a semi-arabic setting some of them might have castle maps in them.
There are a couple free downloads on the Wizards site.

A couple of books I can reccomend are Castles: Sydney Toy; Castele: David Macauley; and History of Architecture on the Comparative Method: Banister Fletcher.

The first two should be readily availible and not too expensive. The last one is quite expensive, but hopefully your school library has it.
