Chain devil questions

A couple of questions regarding the chain devil. First, can a chain devil use his dancing chains ability to make nearby chains attempt trip or disarm attacks instead of regular attacks? If so, I assume the devil's str bonus does not apply. Also, if the devil can do a disarm in this fashion, where does the weapon end up? Finally, do chains under the control of a chain devil get to make attacks of opportunity? Thanks.

These chains attack as effectively as the devil itself.

I think that answers everything except where the weapon winds up on a successful disarm.

If you were armed, the defender’s weapon is on the ground in the defender’s square.
