Not to derail the thread......oh, who am I kidding this thread isnt going anywhere anyhow, but someone mentioned a 'no alcohol' rule. I'm in two games and one of them doesn't drink, no rule but thats how it works out, and at the other one the players get blasted every other game. We have fun at both, whats the deal with a 'no alcohol' rule? You play with violent drunks? I'm not saying its a BAD idea, i've come close to losing an ear from a claymore wielded by smashed players many a time, but i'm curious.

I take an ENTIRE BAG of pixie sticks and pour them into a bottle, usually a Sobe bottle, but any bottle larger than 20 oz. will do. Then I add a full 20 oz Sundrop (which is only availible here in North Carolina, at least as far as i know. But any soda with a high sugar and caffiene content will do). It's imperative that you pour the Pixie Sticks in FIRST, otherwise you have a soda volcano (this has happened before, just one pixie stick poured into a soda will detonate it). This will keep you going for several hours (depending on who you are, it might keep you going for several DAYS, or it could kill you, if you are allergic to any of the ingredients).

I instituted a no-drinking, no-drugs rule in my serious games after two players rocked up stoned and did some very, very stupid things (although I really freaked one or them right out when he thought that his foolish actions had permanently lost him most of his cool abilities). On top of that, I have an alcoholic in my group; and my sessions are pretty epic (generally finishing between 4 and 6am), so no-one would last the distance if they were drinking.

In a not-so-serious game, I have no problem with it - you can have an incredible amount of fun with drunk Paranoia players, especially when they think sticking their tongue against things will avert disaster.

BTW, the stimulants of choice are coffee (I have mine 3 coffees, 2 and a half sugars, white ) and coca cola.
