The ekrat starts and whirls around suddenly at the noise, its yellow eyes widening even further. Clutching the bloodied weapon tightly in its small hands, the ekrat holds its ground, waiting for the seal to approach close enough for a charge. "Come and get me, you dirty, filthy, nasty beast!" it shrieks in high-pitched Sylvan.

As soon as the seal enters range, the ekrat charges, its knife held high (relatively) and its mouth open in what sounds almost like a war cry, and would be very terrifying were the creature uttering it not a foot tall.

Charge at the seal! +8 for 1d4-3 damage.

The ekrat feels a little strange for a moment - it briefly had a cautious, methodical, thought - but quickly shakes it off. The proper tactic is "Charge!", so it prepares itself to charge the next opponent to enter the arena.

A charge is a full round action, which cannot be readied. So technically the ekrat holds action until the opponent completes its move.
