Corpsecrafter for Liches

Could a lich who took the Corpsecrafter feats (Libris Mortis) apply the benefits of those feats to itself?

"Each undead you raise or create with any necromancy spell gains..."

My gut feeling is no, as a lich doesn't explicitly use any necromancy spell such as Create Undead to undergo their transformation. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

My gut says no, for similar reasons. That said, with those feats, I'd allow the lich to apply those effects to himself spending money comparable to a good slotless magic item instead.
