D&D 5E Crazy builds for one insane stat

Hi, this is a thread for play with rules to get the highest one stat, without care about RP, or usefulness in game. But it can be inspiration for build for some not so crazy builds...

There are 3 levels what can we count:
  • Only character, without artifacts - It's only was how to guarantee you can really get it.
  • A character with artifacts.
  • A character with artifacts and buffs from anyone - Have right party members for to get right buffs for this isn't easy (sometimes is, but...)
Game rules + Sources you can work with:
  • any official book
  • UA only with qoute it's from UA
  • pointbuy or standard array
  • Magic items and artifacts are limited up to Very Rare items. Because there is a good chance to somehow get them (buy them).

If you have ideas what else I can add on list, just say it.

Behind numbers in this list will be "(#number)" for easy navigate where you found math behind this number.

Only character:
Attack
Number of attacks in one round: 22
Nova dmg

I've had some thoughts about building for insane initiative bonus. Gloomstalker, plus alert, plus high dex, plus ... some thing else. Building to assassin. I like the idea of not really caring what I roll because i know I'm probably going first anyway.

hey delph,

for speed there is a whole thread about it "How much speed could a fast monk gain if a fast monk could gain speed" I believe the top speed we were able to achieve is somewhere around 13840ft /round (page 2). or unlimited using a wards and guards chain, or this from dandiwiki which comes to 14060ft/round. The wiki also goes into some mathematical methods to increase speed. such as the Rail gun, (inifitite), or consecutive reduced quicklings which multiples the below by 18x (or more if you add in larger stronger creatures). As well as Tensors flying disc which uses geometry to travel at more than 200,000ft/rd

Abridged version:
Let’s tally it all up:

  • The quickling: base 120
  • Lv 10 monk: +20
  • Lv 5 barbarian: +10
  • Lv 2 bladesinger: +10 (While bladesinging)
  • Lv 1 Mystic: +10 (While focused on Celerity)
  • Mobile Feat: +10
  • Longstrider Spell: +10
  • Lv 20 Druid Friend: +50
  • Lv 1 Artificer (Alchemist) Friend: +20
  • Lv 6 Wizard (Transmuter) Friend: +10
  • Eye of Vecna: +10
  • Hand of Vecna: +10
  • Boon of Speed: +30
This adds up to 320.

  • Potion of speed: x2 (grants additional action)
  • Boots of speed: x2
That creates a staggering walking speed of 1280. What's left is to use your stupid number of actions to increase this.

  • Normal movement: 1280
  • Dash: +1280
  • Action Surge dash: +1280
  • Haste action dash: +1280
  • Bonus action dash: +1280
This gives a current total of 6400.

  • Feline agility: x2
  • Reaction movement: +1280

for initiative 2 levels of bard also adds an additional +3@20 (jack of all trades), also sentinel shield for advantage on initiative

Hi Chryssis I have few questions:
  • Where is Quickling playable race?
  • Where is Mystic? It's some UA?
  • How druid on 20 lvl can add +50 speed?
  • Artificer have to be lvl 3 to be Alchemist and I found only Experimental elixir and it add only +10 ft. But nothing about multiplying, chmmm...
  • Boons - It's completely new for me, never heard about it.
  • How do you can use Action surge dash, when you aren't 2 lvl fighter?
  • How do you can use Bonus action to dash, when you arnt 2 lvl rogue?
  • How do you can use Feline agility if you use Quickling?
and using dash or bonus actions is about distance, but not pure speed, but can add to list as "distance by 1 turn"

Vecna artifacts are Wonderous, so not in "range" up to Very Rare.

And how can Tenser Floating disc fly so fast?
