~Dhormium ties himself to the rope and looks at the people who are going to lower him down.~ "Better not let that rope slip friends, or you might find yourself without the healing comforts of yours truly, Haha. Now, lets get this over with"

Ehldannis takes a quick breather once he gets to the bottom of the rope. Feeling a bit hungry, he rumages around in his backpack looking for a little apple.

OK. Very subtle hint there, Inez. Nicely done. I was actually waiting for some more responses on the OOC thread. Please check it out. Anyway,...

The party takes up the Sphinx on her offer to hold the rope for the last climber. She does so, and the last one, Octar makes it down safely. At that point, the rope is pulled back up. From above, the catlike voice hisses down. "Just give a shout when you're ready to return." The smiling face is somehow visible in the gloom above. Two obvious doors await the party. No sign of danger is noticed by Marcus.

Once Dhormium is down, Marcus indicates that they should give the room a closer look see. Togther they should be able to cover everything.

OOC: check for traps, treasure. listen at the doors. that type of thing.

The two double doors to the east and west are large heavy and ornate, but dont' appear locked. They appear to have been made by men, as men are depicted. The skull-headed figure similar to the one depicted in the statue on the first floor is also depicted.

~Dhormium looks around, making eye contact with the rest and shrugs~
"Shall we knock? or just open one of these?"

Marcus turns to Brioc.

"Seems to be quiet behind both doors. Neither seem to be locked. Same as before? I'll lead and try and stay out of the way if it gets rough. Dhormium next, for he has the eyes for this. Octar takes the left. Tullius the right. Dhormium has the center with Brioc, closing the arch. Ehldannis can take the middle.

"That should give everyone," Marcus grins at Tullius, "plenty of opportunity for glory."

For Brioc: [bq]Brioc nods. "Keep to the sides when we open the doors. Those one first," he adds, nodding in the direction of the eastern set of double doors.

Brioc heads for the doors taking a position on the left. He motions for Tullius to take the right door, and Octar the left.[/bq]

OK, Doghead's got Brioc. Who's got Octar? Don't be shy!

Marcus pushes open the East double doors. They open with a creak and groan to reveal a 20 by 40 foot room, covered with cobwebs and dust. This room contains a marble table and three marble chairs. They are decorated with carvings and worn guilding. Several rolls of parchment lie on the desk and there is a robed skeleton sprawled over the desk with a sword thrust through its ribs and sticking out the back. Around the neck fo the corpse is a silver skull on a silver chain. It resembles the face of the statue and the carvings on the doors.

When the parchments are touched, they crumble to dust.

There is a single door on each of the north and south walls.
