[D&D 5E] Securing the Alliance: An Adventure in Tethyr (IC)

Olrox17

Hero
Corilo felt a pleasant voice in his head. Friend, the voice called him. The voice was calm and alluring. Help me, the voice asked. Then, the familiar sound of battle raging around Corilo distracted him from the soft, magical whispers. "Out of my head, fiend!" he shouted, and kept firing at the conniving naga.

OOC: Corilo shoots with his action and his bonus action.

Target: the Naga

First attack roll:[roll0]
Damage roll:[roll1]

Second attack roll:[roll2]
Damage roll:[roll3]

In case of a miss (unless it's a very low roll, such as a 1 or 2), Corilo will use a superiority die for the precision attack maneuver.

If his second attack is a hit, Corilo will use trip attack on the naga (1d8 extra damage and save DC 14 or fall prone). It could be immune to the prone effect, but extra damage is always nice.

Precision attack roll: [roll4]
Trip attack roll: [roll5]

Round 3

GM: Initiative
Corilo: 14
Lorenzo: 13
Bone Naga: 13
Gnorth: 12
Skeletons: 12
Boddynock: 11
Brue: 9
Zombies: 8

Corilo (36/36): Attacked and hit the bone naga two times
Lorenzo (27/27): Moved to H5 and attacked the naga
Gnorth (31/31): Pending
Boddynock (30/30): Pending
Brue (15/39): Pending

Bone Naga (-65/??): Moved and was destroyed by Gnorth's OA
Skeleton1 (0/??): Pending (Turned 3/10)
Skeleton2 (-22/??): Dead
Skeleton3 (0/??): Pending (Turned 3/10)
Zombie1 (-32/??): Dead
Zombie2 (-31/??): Dead

Corilo leaned around the corner of the statue and snapped off two more quick shots, one aimed at the head and the other aimed to hit the creature dead center of its spine and hopefully knock it to the ground. While the bolts flew true, the undead creature maintained its position, rocking back slightly from the telling blow.

Lorenzo, mindful of the creature's reach, slipped past Gnorth and stabbed at the bone naga. His aim was true, the pointed tip of his rapier punching a hole through the creature's skull.

OOC: Lorenzo
Move: H5
Action: Attack (Bone Naga) - [roll0], Damage [roll1]

The bone naga, shattered bones falling like rain with each shift of its frame, moved away from the party. Its flight left its flank open to Gnorth. Taking advantage of the opening, the half-orc swung his hammer with all of his strength, shattering the creature's skull and ending its unnatural animation.

OOC: Bone Naga
Move: Shifted to I/J-3/4 (Gnorth's OA destroyed it)
Action: Cast Lightning Bolt, catching Lorenzo, Gnorth, and Corilo (Damage: [roll2])

@Marcelus14: Gnorth can take an OA against the bone naga as it moved away. Gnorth needs to make a DC12 DEX save against the Lightning Bolt. Because Gnorth is barely within the effect, he rolls the save with advantage. 15 lightning damage on a successful save.

@Olrox17: Corilo needs to make a DC12 DEX save against the Lightning Bolt. Because Corilo is behind the statue, he gets a +2 bonus to his save. 15 lightning damage on a successful save.

OOC: Action is to Gnorth.

Gnorth scrunches his face in confusion. "Half, though common misconception. Just as much human as the orc." Gnorth smiles, swinging his weapon absent mindedly at the Naga as she left his area, "Though, I get it. We are both Tusks and musks! But that'd be like...calling you Jenni rather then Jenny Sighs-" Gnorth tries to then dodge a lightning bolt.
OOC: didn't take my rolls, try again below!

Gnorth, hearing the telltale explosion of a defeated bone naga but refusing to look back at it, takes his warhammer and rushes towards the southern skeleton.

"-sorry, thought I saw a flash of light...."

OOC: Gnorth moves to M7 then swings for the fences [roll0] [roll1] [roll2]

Gnorth closes the gap with the southern most skeleton, but misses due to the creature's scrambling.

The skeletons continue to cower in their corners of the room, doing their best to not get hit.
OOC: Skeletons
Move: None
Action: Dodge

With the vast majority of the threats cleared from the room, Boddynock finally entered and sought to aid his half-orc companion, calling forth a spectral hand to claw at the skeleton. His attempt, however, was unsuccessful.
OOC: Boddynock
Move: I4
Action: Cast Chill Touch on Skeleton3, Attack (w/Disadvantage) - [roll0], [roll1], Damage [roll2] necrotic

OOC: @CanadienneBacon: Brue is up.

Brue flourished a bow at Gnorth. Clumsily and with ill grace. Her armor wouldn't let her bend properly, and, besides, she had little savoire faire to begin with. The attempt at a flourish came off stiff-necked and uncouth, but her replying grin let Gnorth know his humor found its mark. The genasi stalked around the back side of the pillar, and angled forward toward Skeleton 1. She paused part-way to the rear of the room, and cast an assessing glance at both the skeleton and Lorenzo.

[sblock=OOC]Move: K2
Action: Religion [roll0]. Does Brue think the skeleton's been turned? Does she think attacking it will mean it is no longer turned?
Bonus Action: Second Wind for [roll1] hit point recovery
Reaction: None

With the threat of the Naga gone, Corilo relaxed a little. "Look at those sad sack of bones, still stuck in a corner. Almost forgot about them". He stepped forward, overconfident.
OOC: Corilo moves to K8. Then, he shoots with his action and his bonus action.

Target: Skeleton 3

First attack roll:[roll0]
Damage roll:[roll1]

Second attack roll:[roll2]
Damage roll:[roll3]

Corilo is feeling overconfident right now, so no superiority dice will be used.

Corilo's shots flew wide, both bolts thudded into the display case against which the skeleton was cowering. Lorenzo moved up next to Gnorth, calling out as he moved, "Perhaps we should focus on one of the creatures at a time. Once they're hit, their fear of Tymora will be overcome by their desire to remain in their current, retched state."

Using his rapier, the cleric harried the skeleton facing Gnorth, making it easier for the half-orc to attack.

OOC: Lorenzo
Move: M8
Action: Help Gnorth (cancels the skeleton's Dodge against Gnorth)

Gnorth is up! [MENTION=6801323]Marcelus14[/MENTION] Note that for this attack, Gnorth will not suffer disadvantage due to Lorenzo's Help action.
