Panels, adventures, and hints about the future of D&D!

Pax Unplugged 2024 is approaching (December 1st-3rd) in Philadelphia, USA, and WotC will be there with various D&D events.

The 50 years of D&D Adventures panel will feature Jeremy Crawford, Amanda Hamon, Chris Perkins, and James Wyatt, who will be talking about D&D adventures of the past and what's coming next year. The panel will be streamed live, so you can view it on the D&D YouTube channel.

There will be various D&D game run by WotC's long-time partner Baldman Games, including the premier of the "special convention-exclusive Planescape mega-event" Powers in Pieces and updated versions of Tomb of Horrors and The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan to celebrate the 50th anniversary early.

There's also hints of "more glimpses of the future of D&D" in the D&D play area.

There are also unconfirmed rumours that the 3d VTT will be available to try.

Well, the 2024 books didn't get firm release dates or art reveals until May 2014. So for the Core, sometime in the next 6-7 months we will probably hear something.
The big question for me is how staggered will the releases be. They mentioned that printing bottlenecks mean the 2024 books will have to be spaced out. Is that just a reason why they won't be released as a set like 4e, and it's going to be similar to the 2014 books that were released in a spread from August to December? Or are they going to have to be more distantly spread, with either the PHB coming out earlier in the year or the DMG pushed into 2025?

4E qs an oddball exception, the prior Editions have mostly had staggered releases. I would reckon we will see the PHB, MM, and DMG spread out between maybe July to December. After all, they are interoperable with the existing books, so piecemeal switching over isn't an issue.
