I think those would be good games. I wish I still had the other book Chill manual but I can't find it.

Even though there were 3 Evil Dead movies, I think that might be enough info to fill a 3 page book. You'd really need to add to those mpovies to be able to make a game out of them.

Unfortunately, it seems most of the anime fans in the group haven't seen the movies, so they aren't buying Ash's particular brand of charming irreverance.

I'd just like a good horror game where the shotgun is the weapon of choice and you deal with the undead by blasting and hacking. The old Pacesetter Chill game was great for that. Are there any GURPS settings that fill that kind of niche? Would CoC D20 be easily adapted?

Never played Chill, but..

I think that the feel of Evil Dead would be easily achieved by using D&D, just adding guns. It had the same "against great odds" kind of over the top action.

D&D can do great horror, if you are careful to set the mood.

d20 Chill. They have d20 Evil Dead, it's called d20 Call of Cthuhlu. That's what the mythos behind the movie is sorta based on.
