I'm using the NWN toolset (the one from 15 years ago), with a bunch of added tilesets and placeables. Then, I'm doing some extra work on them to make them stand out (boosting the color, adjusting contrast, etc) in either Photoshop or Irfanview.

Here's some more:

A few more, mainly focused on interiors. If anyone else tries their hand at building maps in NWN, be sure to post the results here. I can always use more battle maps.

I use Campaign Cartographer or maps I find on places like here. I am also using the Fantasy Grounds Tiamat adventures right now that include maps. Love the NWN maps.

Out of curiosity, are there any other building styles in Neverwinter? Only those vaguely Renaissance level European style buildings? Anything in, say, stone or adobe?

I unfortunately have never played it, or tried using it as a map building tool, but I would be crazy surprised if there wasn't a thriving online community of people making and sharing maps, models, and textures.

[EDIT] So there's (of course) a learning curve for the 3D rendering software but:

There are some other building types, but they're mostly in add-on hacks. Base NWN was Forgotten Realms based, so the building style reflects that. There are some stone buildings in the desert set, though. I'll try to get some of those in the next batch.

Lots of similar grass areas in this set...
