Do chaotic Paladins have a name?

"A Plethora of Paladins" in Dragon #106 had the following classes:

• Myrikhan - Neutral Good
• Garath - Chaotic Good
• Lyan - Lawful Neutral
• Paramander - Neutral
• Fantra - Chaotic Neutral
• Illrigger - Lawful Evil
• Arrikhan - Neutral Evil

So "Paladin" was Lawful Good and "Anti-Paladin" was Chaotic Evil, according to this schema.

In Dragon #310, James Jacobs wrote up good and neutral paladins, and in #312 he added the evil paladins:

• Anarch - Chaotic Neutral
• Avenger - Chaotic Good
• Sentinel - Neutral Good
• Incarnate - Neutral
• Enforcer - Lawful Neutral
• Despot - Lawful Evil
• Corrupter - Neutral Evil
• Anti-Paladin - Chaotic Evil

Yup those are the Mag #'s for it.
Anything in particular you wanted to knowabout it?

Actually, I think the Incarnates were the OD&D neutral paladins. Can't remember what issue, but one of the Voyages of the Princess Ark (or maybe Known World Grimoir) detailed neutral, druidic paladins. They could only use wooden weapons and armor.

A lot of things already said:

Blackguards can be any evil.

There's 4 Types of Paladins in Unearthed Arcana (Honour, Freedom, Tyranny, Slaughter).

There's the Holy Liberator and Ravagar for good Divine Champions for CG and CE.


There's so many things to call holy warriors of the 9 alignments. Paladin can be used for every one of them, Crusader, too. Knight works. Warpriest, maybe.

LG: Paladin, Samurai (if you're into mixing other cultures in).
NG: Protector, Defender, Purifier
CG: Liberator
LN: Justicator, Justicar, Archon, Judicator
N: Equaliser, Leveller, Observer, Chronicler
CN: Anarchon, Randomiser, Opposer
LE: Oppressor, Tyranniser,
NE: Violator, Defiler
CE: Ravagar, Devastator, Destroyer
