Do Third Eyes and headbands occupy the same item slot?

It came up in our game yesterday, and it turned out that nobody was actually sure. Some of us thought that Third Eyes have their own slot, the rest of us thought that they go in the headband slot.

Can anyone here elighten me?

I've ruled that they occupy the headband slot. Alternatively, if you give them their own slot, Bruce Cordell has said that you should double their price (since they don't use any of the "normal" slots.)
