Unbeknownst to the rest of the party, Rosalia had spied upon the serpentine creature for a few brief moments before her companions had caught up. The beast was finishing off three humanoid warriors near the shattered remnants of the wagon caravan you had been following. The battle was over in a few brief seconds, and though Rosalia was stealthy and far away, the perceptive creature spotted her in the vegetation and charged her location. When it got there, however, it noted the other heroes coming up behind her. Enraged, it through itself at them, targeting Scrag first. Now that it is up close, you can see that you are battling a black dragon, with its fearsome skeletal face and scaled body. Though you never have battled one before, it is obvious that something is wrong with this one. It wheezes as it fights, and its body seems corroded in some places and mutated in others. One of its eyes is clouded over, while the other one reveals a combination of pain and madness. The dragon should be dead, but is very much alive. It screams a challenge and bites at Scrag, taking a chomp at the troll's body.

First Post
Rosalia curses briefly for she was the one who got surprised.

Seeing the monstrosity that they were now facing, she decides to move round the creature despite her obvious dislike at splashing in the mud. Her hope is to flank the dragon to hit it with a decisive blow as he is fighting the main group.

Rapier in hand, she thus walks around to reach its back.

OOC: double move to flank the damn thing.
