John casts a mage armor spell that betters his protection. Scrag strikes against the beast with such force that a font of dark, foul-smelling ichor erupts from the wound and bathes the troll with its grotesqueness. Scrag suddenly feels nauseous and the world begins to spin around him. Grok pierces the dragon once more in the flank.

It seems to have had enough, and the beast takes off with a roar and leaves the party far behind in just a few strong beats of its decaying wings.

There doesn't seem to be anything left to do except check on your wounds, and examine the caravan the dragon destroyed.

OOC: Scrag needs to make a Fortitude check.

The party starts to get its bearing once more, when suddenly Scrag topples over and vomits violently. The poor troll now understands what it is to feel sick for the first time in his life, and it doesn't make him happy at all, as his stomach is racked in pain. You note that where the splotches of dragon blood struck Scrag, his skin bubbles as if melting from acid, though the troll's regeneration quickly heals the damage. Soon the acidic blood is neutralized.

You look over to where the battle was fought. A massacre has occurred here. Four heavy wagons lie overturned, half submerged in the muddy waters. Bodies of fallen orcs are cast about like bloody dolls; broken spears and shattered shields litter the battlefield. Deep furrows have been torn into the muddy ground, and the stench of rot is stronger than ever. he corpses of sixteen armored orcs litter the island and surrounding bogs. They are armored in a mix of rusting chainmail and hide armor.

Some footprints lead further west from the swamp, spaced in a way to suggest several orcs ran from this battle and fled in that direction.

Scrag Dimtroll

On his knees retching, and at the same time eyeing all the dead. The smell of horse meat mixed with his own bile brought forth a lost memory of his childhood...Horc's meat stew? the vision of an old blind troll belching into the pot to spice it up...'Orses and orcses tonight, Scraggy!'

Scrag licked his lips, then vomitted again...his eyes watering, grimacing "Scrag no hungery now, All John's."

He then crawled to Rock, tucked it under his head , and promptly began to snore.

Rosalia raises a fist in the air and shouts: "Yes! Got you, big worm!"

She turns to the group and asks excitedly: "That was a Dragon, wasn't it?? We defeated a dragon!!"

As Scrag vomits she puts a hand on her nose and a disgusted face. But then, strangely, comes to him to pat on his shoulder and say: "My poor little Scrag. No good. No, no good.."

Once she rearranged her hair, she starts checking the caravan contents. "These guys were with the mad priest. I Wonder what they were transporting to these lands.."

Once the caravan is thoroughly checked, she'll look for possessions in the mud and the bodies without any scrupules, sometimes giving a kick or two to a orc's body.

The dragon seemed more dead to you than alive, which makes you worry what it would have been like to fight it at full strength. You noticed that when your companions struck at it, the dragon sounded hollow and sloshed with liquid, and it's eyes desperate and mad with pain. Also, dragon's blood are not known to be acidic, or to splash so. The dragon should have also employed its breath weapon, which it never dead. Some magical sort of disease or withering effect seemed to be eating it out from the inside. You are thankful that none of you suffer from such a Magical Blight. Right?

Rosalia finds mostly junk, except for a finely made dagger of excellent craftsmanship hidden inside the severed boot of a dead orc.

"Team, as I am sure you can tell, there is something wrong with that dragon. I think it is rotting from the inside out and is insane with pain. Scrag, don't let it bleed on you. It is bad."
