Rathan looks down at the dwarf and give him a glare then leans as he hears the whisper... and returns one quietly.. you have GOT to be nuts if you think I'm going to relenquish this pie to anyone after what I've had to do to keep it safe. I'll give it to the missus if no one minds. I'm sure my hands are grafted it to by now anyways. the young priest utters low to Cludge... he will indeed accept help in the delivery.... but he definately wants to be part of it after all he's endured throughout the parade....

Eh? Did ya say something, lad? I'm hard a hearing, ya know, Cludge says, cocking an ear towards Rathan. Blushing, he suddenly realizes he has made a small gaffe. Oh dear! Of course, my friend Rathan, of course. Course ya should be the one. Gotta scuse me, I musta lost me manners up in tha minin' camps.
He slaps Rathan on the back - LIGHTLY lest he disturb the pie - and says in a low voice audible by all.
Go on now, then lad. Hand the pretty lady the pie. I know ye'll do us proud.

OOC to Rathan: Edwyd told Joe that it's his 20th anniversary. Presumably, Edwyd has at least attempted to deliver the pie to his wife every year that they've been married.

Rathan smiled softly as he nodded to all his companions and hoped they would follow behind him in delevery.... his eyes shining for a moment as he carefull takes one hand off the pie to cast. A soft white light now appearing over the pie (Light Spell) to enhances it's features and yummy looking exterior. His hands now both free, go back to the pie as he steps up to the bakers wife and kneels onto one knee. It was a spectarular sight indeed for the cleri dressed in full vestments before her as he looks down at the pie and back up to Edwyds wife with an enlightened smile...
Hail to you honored wife of the humble baker. It is my honor... along with my companions to set this gift of twenty years love from Edwynd to you. I can attest to the fact of how much love and devotion was put into this pie as it was not easy getting it here in one peice. I can honestly say to you m'lady, you are one lucky woman to have a man with as much faith in you as Edywn does. Please m'lady take this gift of your lifemate of 20 years and celebrate this day and many more to come. I bless this pie in the name of my gods healing light. May it bring you 20 more pies in the years to come!" the priest of Hyrag finishes his speach and smiles to Edywns wife once more as he holds the pie up to her now in offering....

The crowd remains respectfully silent. Mrs. Edwyd has a tear rolling down her cheek as she accepts the pie from Rathan. She smiles and inhales deeply, the strong scent filling her nostrils. "It's so beautiful..." she comments as the light of a deity spills from the pie. "And still warm..." she murmurs. "Thank you, gentlemen," she says, wiping away her tear. "This... this is the best anniversary delivery yet. A priest! Does this mean our vows are renewed? Oh, I wonder if Edwyd's planning a second honeymoon!" She takes another whiff of the pie and says quietly, "Nigh divine..." Mrs. Edwyd sticks one finger in between a cross hatch and pulls out a soft, cinnamon-covered apple slice. She breaks off some crust and eats them both together. The crowd leans in, jealous, as she closes her eyes and chews in ecstasy. She swallows, raises the pie, and shouts, "Delicious! Everybody, free pie at Edwyd's Victuals!" The crowd cheers and and starts to turn around and head back to Edwyd's immediately. Some women, presumably Mrs. Edwyd's friends, walk up the pathway to the Edwyd house to congratulate her.
If the Brigade hangs around for long... Mrs. Edwyd says, "Thank you, boys, you can go now. Edwyd should have something for you."
The trek back to Edwyd's Victuals is completely uneventful. The crowd is moving at a quick pace, eager to get a bite of some of Edwyd's delicious goods. When they arrive at the store, the large cook and his staff is already waiting outside with tables and tables of pie. A crowd has already gathered, but Edwyd's staff lets the parade get the first pieces. There's plenty for everyone, and many people go inside for more, somewhat pricier, treats.
Edwyd breaks away from the hungry citizens to speak with his Brigade. "Well, here's the platinum piece I owe you. Looks like you did a hell of a job. How did it go?"
If the Brigade hangs around for long... Mrs. Edwyd says, "Thank you, boys, you can go now. Edwyd should have something for you."

Rathan smiles to the cook and closes his hand on his own coin and pushes it back aginst him... " I do beleive we've all promised this coin to the children that help us protect the pie my good baker.... if they come... give them free food and shelter if you can... but this coin is theres to put food and water in their tummies.." the kind priest says as he looks to his companions to make sure this was what was promised then turned back to Edwyn... " I was suprised to see the inners of the pie not made of platinum Edywn with as much trouble as we had keeping it safe. Your wife though shed a tear and proclaimed it the best pie yet in the 20 years of this persession. I thank you for the oppertunity you've given me ..." the cleric speaks softly as a smile graces his lips.....

Galwynn grins after the pie is successfully delivered, although the smile is soon wiped from his face when he thinks about the street children. While several platinum coins will go a far way towards helping the children, Galwynn can't help but feel guilty for some odd reason.
Of course, that doesn't stop Galwynn from taking his share of pie. Preferably apple.

"Hmmm..." Saithnar mutters before breaking into a large grin as he savors his piece of pie "...delicious." He also passes back his coin to Edwyd to be given to the children. "Thank you Baker Edwyd, it has been a unique experience. And Happy Anniversary as well!"
With that, Saithnar departs to return towards the Red Dragon Inn with a full stomach and an itch for further adventure...
