During the travel the horrid sounds echoing off the walls reminds Kildrak of the day his people were slaughtered by the drow. The noise turns into the screams of the women, children, and warriors of his lost clan. As he works on gathering food he swears he sees dead dwarves scattered everywhere he turns. Unnerved he quietly joins the group when they set down to camp. The appearance of the drow enrages the dwarf and he searches widely for a way to the tunnel it escaped into.
During the day Grudach traveled with the quiet quaggoth, who seemed more and more moody as the day drew on. During the day the noises and odd sounds seem to give the poor man a slight headache and he finds himself needing to stop and close his eyes (and ears), to clear the pain from his head.
By the time the group finds a cavern to rest, the headache and horrid sounds are both gone, but the oddness of the day still lingers.

The Horrid Sounds and WIS save were a random encounter. Not deadly in itself but the bump in madness level will play out as we transverse the Evil Underdark.
