Looking at the inn, she sees it is filling with prospective employees.
-''Ah. More help. Uh. Wait...'' Charina observes with growing aprehension the pool of potential adventurers. Then she spots Ikniqpalagaq and exhales in relief.
-''At last! A sword, someone with a sword! Please say you are looking for work, sister. This inn is devoid of any serious melee specialist. Well, I spotted a paladin earlier, but who wants to adventure with a paladin?''
Alnar looks slightly amused.
Who would want to work for a Drow? When you are done with their job they will kick you in the shins, rob you, tie you up and make you kiss spiders and either A. feed you to their pet panther or B. use you for scimitar practice!

Well thats just racism. Drow's might be good. . . maybe. . . hmmmm She looks at Charina suspiciously, then points to the swordmage who walked up behind Rhole.

Having no experience with drows, a frightened look quickly spreads across Rhole’s face. He looks up at Charina, nervously curling his rolled-up goatee between his fingers and playing out unusual scenarios in his head.
“Really? She would have to aim pretty low to hit my shins. Already tried being tied up by Sir Goatface, that didn’t work out too well for him.”
“Oh, and I don’t own any spiders, panthers, or any other…” Somewhere deep inside Rhole’s abundant hair, Rock begins to snore. “… pets. Honest!”
“Hmm, I’m pretty short on scimitars, too. Why, I don’t even own a weapon you could use on me!”

Derien & Rhole's combo of Astral Condemnation & Stirring Shout proved pretty helpful in the staying power department.[/sblock]

The door to the tavern opens as yet another person enters. Haruka Sato. If you have a job that doesn't involve spending days marching through some wretched swamp, I'd be delighted to help." While the speaker is a young woman clearly from the Kingdom of Jade, the voice sounds like that of a male Dragonborn.
Upon seeing her recent companions, her expression brightens and she walks over to them. "Sorry it took me so long to catch up with you. I had some, well, nevermind. I'm here now."

Our mission is to find out who and then free Merryl and the kids out.'' she says passionately. ''Best lead at this point is to find the remnants of Merryl's gang and see if they have useful information. For your pay, You'll be splitting 380gp five ways and we'll split any loot evenly.
