Eyes Of The Lich Queen: Ch. 2

Jango follows the group to the second floor. He spots the shadows he thought at first might be Griot who has stayed outside, flying over the building, but then, the shadow was too large, Griot must be a lot more higher then that in the sky.

He looks at Rogan and see he is vigilent. He seems to have spot something too. Jango thinks a moment if they are not too paranoid because of teh recent events or if there is someone on there track, which could make sense.

As they arrive in front of Yellin, he left Khalia do the speaking but looks at the outside, thinking of that shadow.

The man's eyes do not focus on any of you... as though this is all a major inconvenience to him, or he's expecting nothing to come out of this meeting. "I am Yellin... Master Tailor. What service can I provide for you? A few bolts of silk perhaps? Maybe some fine shirt and pant combinations?"

Donovan steps forward, and pitches his voice low. "Our business might want to wait," he says softly, eyes locked on the balcony. "That is, unless you've got a lot of friends who visit by climbing the walls and crossing the roof? If not, stepping away from the balcony might be a good idea."

Ari sends his own shadow forward onto the balcony, his hand now on his sword. He follows the warpriest in a low whisper. "Back away from the windows. Now."

OOC: Will use Intimidate if Diplomacy/common sense doesn't work. He's ending Onyx up there (still within range).

Seeing that the others have noticed the moving shadows also, Rogan's hands move to his belt where his two daggers are hidden. He moves as to put the desk between him, Yellin and the balcony. "I could use some nice silk, but it seems like it might need to wait."

"We have been followed." Rogan says to his companions in case they have not noticed. "Prepare yourselves."

As Rogan moves towards the desk for a little bit of cover, he accidentally bumps into it with his leg, knocking over some of the knick-knacks laying on top. They make enough racket that it is hard to notice. "Sorry 'bout that guys."

As the whispers commence and everyone begins moving away from thw window leading out onto the small balcony, Master Yellin's face belays his fear. "What... what is this? Who are you people?" he whispers. He immediately shuts up when he sees the reaction to the others in the room.

Ari sends Onyx out onto the balcony, and the black, shadowy animal glances both ways and sniffs. The six of you see Onyx turn to the right and begin moving to the railing on that side, putting his front paws up and onto it. A few seconds of this results in nothing happening and no reaction from anyone who might be outside... so you think that if someone is out there... they might not be in a position currently to see the balcony.

[sblock=Encounter B1]
The five of you and Yellin are all poised to act... you've drawn your weapons and are ready to attack. However, it is unclear exactly how much talking or sound from within the office can be heard outside, so a change in conversation or spells cast with a verbal component may tip off whomever might be out there that you are aware of a presence.

Initiative Order:

14 Jango
13 Rogan
10 Ari
6 Khalia
5 Horatio
2 Yellin

As it seems the balcony is a safe spot right now, Rogan moves forward in a stealthy manner, using whatever shadows are available. He beings to climb the railing and make his way to the roof, hoping to go undetected.

"These days? we're trouble magnets, seems like," the cleric whispers with a wry grin. As the others prepare themselves and Rogan slides forward, Donovan takes the opportunity to interpose himself between Yellin and the balcony, ready to protect the man from any sudden attack in that direction.
