Fitz's Character Generation Wheel

I have just uploaded Fitz's Character Generation Wheel to the downloads area.

This PDF (about 480 KB) can be printed out, glued to heavy card, and with the addition of a circle of clear plastic and something to hold it in place that will allow it to rotate freely, can be used to make a Character Generation Array.

The idea is that you roll 3d6 or 4d6 and write the sum of 3 of them in dry-erase marker in each circle in the array. Then the plastic disc can be rotated to choose one set of 6 characteristics from the 18 scores.

Instructions for use, plus details of racial adjustments, are printed right there on the card. (I use STR reductions for the smaller races; if you don't like that idea, you can just ignore them).

You can find the file here in the downloads section. Please use this thread for comments.

That's neat! It's a simple way to get some variation. It benefits from being visual and tactile too - no need to consult rules to find if the set is a "keeper".
