Forum Previews

Is there any plans to make the forum Previews available on the new front page?

I hate having to refresh pages for 6-7 different forums to see what is new...

I think he means the "recent threads" columns... I've attached an example.

Ah, I see! Well, we're not using that software anymore, so it would need Mike to actually write it. We'll look into it though!

I think seeing fresh blog entries in a similar style would be neat, too. Anything to help those two "halves" of the site (message board and blogs) cross pollinate.

Those are neat guys but I'm wary of them - they require database queries. The more queries each page needs the slower the system will run. I guarantee a large part of the speed boost everyone sees with EN2 is due to the lack of a recent thread module on the front page.

Ah, but it makes it so much easier to see parts of the site that are not normally visited. I miss so much this way.
