Lanterns held high, you descend into the cave mouth. The smell of animal is thick and fresh in the still air, and grows stronger as you work your way through a narrow fissure in the hillside. There is a steep descent followed by several sharp turns before the way levels out into larger natural cave, with thick stalagmites spiking up from the floor, some of them reaching all the way to the roof high overhead. Round 1, continued
Tank advances cautiously, senses peeled, but even his darkvision fails to spot the threat in time.
As he pauses before the natural rock pillar, there is a sudden snarl like tearing paper, and an enormous black cat charges from the left, where it had been concealed in a small niche. It swats Tank with two heavy paw, drawing two sets of bloody grooves down the orc's chest, and narrowly missing with a bite attack, leaving the tough orc near collapse. (7 and 6 damage)
[sblock=kn(nature) DC 12]The big cats often attack with their hind claws as well as their front, if their prey is unlucky enough to be caught in their powerful jaws.[/sblock]
