Opale steps back out of reach, and summons a cloud of brightly glittering dust around the elemental. Taking advantage of the elemental's great height, she is able to place the cloud above her friends, catching only the elemental in its area of effect. The fire elemental is blinded by the dust!

Blinded, the elemental's great speed can no longer protect it, and Zack quickly strikes it with 3 solid blows, dealing 13, 12 and 12 damage respectively.

After the terrible beating Zack delivered, Ducane stands ready to put the monster down. His first blow is a miss, but his second blow, though awkward, manages to connect with the blinded elemental. He hits it for 7 damage, and the living flames begin to unravel, with sparks flying everywhere. In moments, it's as if the elemental never was!

As the elemental disapates, Planus rushes to Charlarn's side. "Mongrel, heal this fallen man," he cries casting a cure spell to bring Charlarn back to consciousness.
